Kind of boring first episode of Charity’s season of The Bachelorette

It feels like it’s been forever since Zach’s such boring season of The Bachelor came to an end, but Bachelor Nation’s back on our TVs tonight as Charity’s season of The Bachelorette kicks off. Charity was a fan favorite from Zach’s season. We have a new start time for this season, which I’m none too thrilled about an hour later for a two, or sometimes three hour show.

Let’s get into it. Feels fun to write about something other than gambling on NHL games and beer reviews again.

Not a whole ton of pre-roll like there usually is, but just 13 minutes in, the guys begin to come out of the limo. Pretty much all of them were pretty normal and forgettable, besides one guy Spencer who seemed like a complete weirdo serial killer. Hope he gets sent home right away. Made me uncomfortable to watch. Other than that, all seemingly normal guys.

After all of the guys come in, one last limo pulls up with a special guest who Charity already knows…her brother. Pretty sure we already saw the clips of these in the previews in the Bachelor finale. Charity’s brother stays for night one and is in disguise as a bartender.

Other than the guy doing flips and the the guy doing wrestling moves, it continues to be a pretty boring first night. Then the awkward and strange guy Spencer, who does get slightly less awkward than his limo exit, talks to Charity and tells her that he’s a dad.

A few of the guys get kisses on night one, but this one kid Brayden is real cocky about it and can’t stop talking about making out with her and thinks he’s getting the first impression rose. After hearing this, Charity’s brother, the bartender, reveals himself to all of the guys. He then goes to talk to his sister. After talking to her brother, Charity pulls Brayden aside to talk. In what seems like she was pissed, she ends up giving him the first impression rose, so clearly he made a good move. Charity says that she really liked how excited he was to be there for her.

Onto the first rose ceremony of the season, which isn’t really all that interesting since we haven’t had any time to really meet any of these guys.

Honestly, kind of a boring first episode of the season. We continue next week when the journey really begins.
