Dramatic exits and lots of feels as Charity has her hometown dates set

Back to normal start time at 8:00, this week Charity and her final six guys left go to New Orleans. This season has gone super quick and I actually haven’t minded it. The four guys that remain after this week head onto hometowns.

Joey gets the first date of the week. They take a horse drawn carriage and have a great time exploring NOLA. At dinner, Charity asks Joey what he’d think about going onto hometowns. He answers well and then she asks him about how he’d feel about the struggles of being in an interracial relationship, which is a valid question. He answers it very well and assures her that although he doesn’t know how it would actually be until they experience it together, he really couldn’t have answered the question and be supportive of her more than he did.

“Joey, will you accept this rose?”

After he of course accepts it, Joey tells Charity that he is falling in love with her. Adorable, and he’s the first to hometowns.

Next up, we have a two on one, with Sean and Tanner. I didn’t really see that coming. There hasn’t been any drama between the two of them and usually you don’t get two on ones like that to head to hometowns. So out of the two guys left who haven’t gotten one on ones, one is going directly to hometowns with a rose and not a one on one, and the other is going home. The three of them go boating in the Bayou, looking at gators. Charity enjoys it and invites both Sean and Tanner, who both weren’t happy, to dinner. Sean is easily the one that’s shining though on this date, even going to kiss Charity goodbye after the early part as she’s doing a confessional. First, Charity pulls Sean for some one on one time. She reassures Sean and they kiss before its Tanner’s turn. During their one on one time, he tells her that his guard is up. He tells Charity about how his last relationship failed. At the end of the date she decides not to hand out a rose and thanks them both. So she needs more clarity and will take the decision on the two of them to the rose ceremony. It wouldn’t surprise me if both of them end up going home.

Dotun gets the second one on one date of the week, his second week in a row with a one on one. They do part of a marathon and then have fun stopping by to talk to people. They have a fun time on a pretty boring date. At dinner, Charity asks Dotun about how he’d feel about a hometown. He says its scary as hell but how much he wants it. Dotun tells Charity that he’s falling in love with her. She’s thrilled by that. Charity gives him the rose and its onto hometowns next week with her very likely front runner.

Onto the group date, which includes Aaron, Xavier, Tanner, and Sean. Sean’s really struggling with it. He goes to see Charity to get some validation. He tells her how disappointed he was that he didn’t get the rose after the two on one, how much he’s wanted a one on one and how he just wants that validation to match his feelings. He then tells her that he’s falling in love with her. She tells him that there’s connections that are stronger for her. She says that what he wants, she can’t give him and she doesn’t think that she could get there with him and walks him out. Rough exit for the former Barstool intern. He’ll do well on Paradise.

To start off the final group date of the season, first Charity pulls away Aaron to go chat, right in his home of New Orleans. He tells her that emotionally he’s been in a very tough spot this week. Next up is Xavier, who tells Charity that it scares him to commit to someone for the rest of his life. Not the most confident. Aaron, unsurprisingly gets the first rose of the group date. With the second rose remaining for Tanner and Xavier, Charity delays giving the rose to the evening portion of the date. Before that, she heads up to talk to Tanner and she struggles but sends him home. Zero surprise seeing that he went through a two on one and then a three on one date in New Orleans and she couldn’t give him a rose. She then goes to tell Xavier that she just sent Tanner home and she gives him the final rose to take him onto hometowns.

The best credits closing scene of the season, none other than Luggage Guy Barstool Trent waiting to take out a luggage that he never gets to do. Go Trent Go!
