Last night we got the premiere of The Golden Bachelor followed by the premier of the next season of easily the best show in the Bachelor Nation franchise and arguably the best reality show on TV, Bachelor in Paradise! I’m a day late watching it.

All our favorites are back on the beach! Returning to the beaches of Paradise are:

• former Bachelorette Rachel, who was originally from Clayton’s season of The Bachelor
• Brayden, who was the main source of drama from Charity’s season of The Bachelorette
• Kylee, who was sent home via video chat on Zach’s season of The Bachelor
• Aaron B. from Charity’s season of The Bachelorette, one of the final four, who got sent home twice
• Mercedes, who I don’t remember from Zach’s season of The Bachelor
• Sean, the former Barstool intern that Dave used to call Hot Sean, who went on to go to Charity’s season of The Bachelorette
• Jess, another girl I don’t remember from Zach’s season of The Bachelor
• Will, who I don’t remember from Michelle’s season of The Bachelorette
• Brooklyn from Zach’s season of The Bachelor, who I think could be a star on Paradise
• Kat, who fought with Brooklyn during Zach’s season of The Bachelor, pretty annoying
• Bachelor Nation star Blake Moynes, who’s now been on two seasons of The Bachelorette, Claire and Taysia’s season and he was the guy that got engaged at the end of Katie’s season
• Cat, from Zach’s season of The Bachelorette

Rachel’s the first one to arrive at the beach. Aaron’s the first guy to arrive. Brooklyn gets there next, then Cat, then Sean, Will, Kylee and Brayden.

All the guys are real pumped to see Kylee, but Aaron and Sean are both real irritated to see Brayden show up.

Next up to show is Eliza, originally from Clayton’s season of The Bachelor, who was in a love triangle last season in Paradise with Rodney and Justin, but didn’t end up with either.

Greer from Zach’s season, Aaron S. from Charity’s season, Peter, who went home on night one on Charity’s season, and Kat all arrive. Sam, who sent herself home on the first night of Clayton’s season even before the first rose ceremony. Olivia, who I don’t really remember from Zach’s season of The Bachelor. Will and Olivia, after talking about sucking toes, have the first kiss of the season, making out on the beach pretty quickly. Jess arrives next and her and Sean quickly hit it off talking about Taylor Swift (also, I’m a huge Swiftie). Blake shows up to the beach next. Third (or fourth) time’s a charm.

The men have the roses this week with four of the ladies going home. 

Kylee gets upset when she finds out that Olivia and Will kissed, since they both want him. Kylee then gets the first date card of the season. She asks Will to go on the date and he accepts. She said that she didn’t want to get in a love triangle, but then just goes ahead and does it. 

On the date, on their walk to the table in the middle of the pool that they always use for dates on this show, Will falls into the pool, which is fucking hilarious. Back on the beach, Brayden and Kat hit it off and make out. Meanwhile, so do Sean and Rachel. And then so does like the other half of the beach as they all couple up.

Back to Will and Kylee’s date, she brings up that she doesn’t want to step on any toes and that he kissed Olivia earlier in the day. He assures her that it feels like he has the strongest connection with her, and not Olivia. Their date does well and they make out. He says that their kiss feels so different than his kiss with Olivia.

The next morning, Will pulls Olivia to have a conversation. Olivia gets pissed after Will tells her that he doesn’t owe her a conversation after just one night, which although he isn’t necessarily wrong on that, probably wasn’t his best move to just go on the date without giving her a quick heads up first. Olivia’s pissed off that she was disrespected and wants Aven, who was Kylee’s first choice to come to the beach so she could go after him…and who else would walk down those steps to the beach than…Aven!

The drama continues next Thursday night after The Golden Bachelor.
