NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 10/15/23

I had a shitty night on yesterday’s huge NHL slate, going 5-8 to lose 6.07 units, with all three of my shot prop parlays losing by a single shot while my normal picks, especially on the Avs game ran into some bad luck. Tonight we have just two games, let’s bounce back.

Senators vs. Lightning (7:00)

Both of these teams are in the second half of a back-to-back, with the Sens coming off a win against the Flyers and the Bolts losing to the Red Wings. I’d lean the Lightning win but I think this matchup’s pretty close to a coin flip and they’re on the road, so I’ll stay off it. I do like the over though, which I’ll take for a unit.

Ducks vs. Hurricanes (8:30)

This is a huge mismatch as I broke down in depth in my article on StatSalt. As I said in that article, I expect an easy win for the Canes. The moneyline is too expensive but I’ll take the Hurricanes in regulation here for a unit. I’d slightly lean the over, but not enough to bet it.

Game Bets

1u Senators/Lightning over 6.5 (-125)

1u Hurricanes in regulation (-143)

Record: 12-18 (-6.22 units)
