Fantasy Suites on The Golden Bachelor!

Nearing the end of the first season of The Golden Bachelor, which has honestly been so incredible, Gerry’s down to his two final ladies, Leslie and Theresa. This week is fantasy suites down in Costa Rica!

Leslie has the first date of the week in Costa Rica. They start their date repelling down together to a waterfall, which is a pretty fun start to the date. At dinner afterwards, Gerry brings up to Leslie that she hasn’t asked him any of the hard questions. She follows that up by shocking him by asking when was the last time that he had sex. He then asks the practical question of how she thinks their life would look and where they’d live, and the logistics of that. She says that they can figure it out, which Gerry’s happy about. They both get emotional and happy during dinner of the thought of their relationship continuing and instead of it ending…

“Should you choose to forgo your individual rooms please you this key to stay as a couple in the fantasy suite.”

Before the cameras leave, while they’re in the fantasy suite, Gerry tells Leslie that Trista gave him the piece of advice to find someone he can’t live without, and Gerry tells Leslie that he thinks she’s the one. That’s huge!! Aweeee, what an adorable conversation to watch. So good. The next morning, Gerry says his relationship with Leslie improved significantly overnight.

Theresa’s going to have a tough time topping that after Gerry telling Leslie that he doesn’t see a life without her. They start off their date riding horses and there’s a weird vibe to it with Gerry still clearly in his head about his date with Leslie the day and night before. After she notices that he tells her that this is a tough day for him. Gotta feel bad for Theresa at this point. During his conversation with Theresa, he then tells the confessional camera that he’s just thinking of “what is Leslie thinking?” which tells you all you have to know about who’s gonna be the winner at the end of this.

Before dinner with Theresa, Gerry says that it feels like they aren’t advancing their relationship and obviously he has a stronger connection with Leslie. He starts the conversation asking her about her career which when you compare that to him asking Leslie about how they’re going to figure out the logistics of living together is so far apart. They connect more during dinner, talking about how they still talk to their late spouses. Even though the date doesn’t go all that great in my opinion and although I still think he ends up with Leslie at the end of this, Gerry still gives Theresa the fantasy suite letter. The next morning they wake up very happy and Gerry has a whole other level to their connection and he says that all of the questions that he had about her were gone. He tells her for the first time that he’s in love with her.

In two weeks, we will find out who Gerry proposes two in the emotional season finale of The Golden Bachelor.
