Exs, Roasts, and Even More Drama On The Beach of Bachelor in Paradise

There’s been plenty of drama on this season of Bachelor in Paradise, and the beach keeps heating up this week.

This week we start the week off with Michael asking Olivia to go on the date. No surprise there after John Henry chose Kat over her and then Michael came down to the beach and they hit it off quickly.

Heading down as new additions to the beach are Jordan from Rachel and Gabby’s season and Taylor from Charity’s season, both of whom I don’t really remember. Jordan was the race car driver that got the first one on one from Rachel but she didn’t give him the rose. He kind of looks like Matthew Tkachuk. The first one he talks to is the Bachelorette that sent him home, Rachel. Jordan gets the date card and he asks Rachel for a second first date, which she accepts. For their date, they do tantric yoga. They re-hit it off and this date goes much better than their date on The Bachelorette did. After Rachel gets back from the date, she talks to Tanner, who gave her the rose last week. It doesn’t really go anywhere and Wells and Tyler give Rachel advice that she needs to let her guard down and talk through it with guys that she likes. She goes to talk to Tanner again and it goes WAY better as they both agree that they want to try and see where things go with them. Such a cute conversation.

Back on the beach, out of the truth box, someone says that Tyler isn’t really into Mercedes. Seeing that he made out with Jess a few episodes ago which was never mentioned, that’s no surprise. Clearly that relationship isn’t going to go anywhere outside of Paradise.

Next up is a double date card for Aven and Kylee along with Peter and Sam. Boring beach party date that goes well for both couples, both of which are pretty strong.

As Blake and Jess are getting closer on the beach, another former Bachelorette, Katie Thurston, comes down to Paradise after her failed engagement a few years back with Blake. He’s absolutely shocked to see her. They go chat. Katie apologizes to Blake about how their relationship ended and her regrets around that.

After Katie catches up with him, she announces that she isn’t there to date, but to host a Paradise Comedy Roast. They get split into non-couple pairs to figure out their roasts. The roast hits a few ladies hard, specifically Rachel, Mercedes, Jess, and to a lesser extent Kat.

The girls have the roses, with three guys going home and other than a few relationships, there’s a lot of instability in the couples on the beach.

Blake leaves us with a cliffhanger of him telling Jess that he doesn’t feel like their relationship is progressing. After a week off for Thanksgiving next week, the drama continues in two weeks after the dramatic finale of The Golden Bachelor (which I’m way more excited about than this show).
