Bounce back winning day for me yesterday, chipping away at my losses for the weekend on the NHL, going 3-3 to win 1.24 units. We have a six game slate tonight, let’s stack up the wins tonight.
Senators vs. Panthers (7:00)
The Tkachuk brothers face each other for this fun Atlantic Division matchup tonight. Both of these teams are coming off losses on Friday, but they’re sitting on opposite ends of the Atlantic Division standings. I like Matthew and the Panthers to get the win here on the road tonight in Ottawa and I’ll take them for half a unit. I’d the over, but not enough to bet it.
Rangers vs. Sabres (7:00)
The Sabres just got absolutely embarrassed on Saturday night, losing their worst game of the season 7-2 in Jersey. I don’t have any faith that they fare any better tonight in MSG against the league leading Rangers, who opened the season with a 5-1 blowout win against us on opening night in Buffalo. I’m betting hard against my Sabres tonight with two units on the Rags in regulation. I’d lean the over, but I’m not betting it.
Blue Jackets vs. Bruins (7:00)
Huge mismatch here between the Atlantic leading Bruins, who have just one win in their last four games after an embarrassing 7-4 loss on the road to the Rangers on Saturday afternoon and the Jackets, who have been awful. Last night the Jackets gave up 2 goals in the last 3:09 of the game to lose 3-2 to the Hurricanes, a big win for me. This is a big time “get right” spot for me, and I’ll take the B’s in regulation for 1.5 units. I like the over too, which I’ll take for half a unit.
Avalanche vs. Lightning (9:00)
This should be probably the most fun game on tonight’s slate. Both of these teams are playing great hockey, especially offensively. I give the Avs a defensive edge here at home and I’ll take them for half a unit. I like the over too, which I’ll also take for half a unit.
Flames vs. Golden Knights (9:30)
This has become an interesting cross conference matchup, which I would’t have expected a week ago. The Golden Knights are in a bit of a slump right now (I still think they win the Cup), coming off a 2-0 shutout loss to the Coyotes at home on Saturday, their second in their last three games. They have just one win in their last four, which was an impressive OT game winner by Eichel against the Stars last Wednesday. I like the Knights to get right here against the Flames, who have struggled all year. I’ll take Vegas for a unit. I’d lean the under, but not enough to bet it.
Sharks vs. Capitals (10:30)
I lost so much money on the Sharks’ shocking 3-2 win over the Canucks on Saturday night, going 0-5 on the game to lose a zillion units. I also took a pretty big loss on the Caps, as their five game win streak came to an end with a 5-0 shutout loss to the Oilers on Friday. I’m going right back to the well with hammering whoever plays against the Sharks. I don’t see them winning two in a row, especially against a Caps team that needs a big bounce back. I’ll take the Caps in regulation for 2 units, the Caps -2.5 for a unit, the Caps -3.5 for half a unit, 1.5 units on the Caps TT over 3.5, and a unit on the Sharks TT under 2.5.
