I started off last night’s big NHL slate hot, but cooled down on the later games, going 3-5 and losing 1.72 units. We have just two games tonight before another big slate tomorrow, let’s please get a win tonight!
Devils vs. Sharks (7:00)
The Sharks went back to normal and got shut out 3-0 by the Bruins last night after winning two games. Of course there wasn’t any value to betting them, so I didn’t make any money on that game after my huge losses with SJ beating Washington and Vancouver. The play I would have had won that game was going to be the Bruins team total, so I’m glad I stayed off it completely. The Devils, after blowing a lead, beat the Flyers 4-3 in overtime last night, to extend their win streak to three in a row. This should be an easy win for them against a brutal Sharks team. Like yesterday, there’s just no value to betting on the lines of this game with a -480 moneyline. These prices are outrageous and even the alt lines are too expensive. Expect a blowout win for Jersey at home, but I can’t bet this game.
Blue Jackets vs. Senators (7:00)
This is actually kind of an interesting matchup between these two shitty teams. I think the Sens are the better team in this game, although the Blue Jackets have played better lately. I’ll take Ottawa for half a unit. I like the over a lot though, which both teams struggling defensively. I don’t love the 7, but I’ll take the over 6.5 for a unit.
