NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 2/16/24

Slight loss for me on last night’s huge twelve game NHL slate, going 9-8 to lose 0.62 units. After that huge slate yesterday and before another huge one tomorrow, we have just one game tonight as the Yotes host the Canes. Let’s get a big win here!

Coyotes vs. Hurricanes (9:00)

I wouldn’t really call our only game tonight a barn burner as this is a pretty big cross conference mismatch as the Canes head to Arizona for a game at the Mullett against the struggling Coyotes. The Yotes, coming off a 3-1 loss at home to the Wild on Wednesday, are on a seven game losing streak with just four wins in their last 17 games. They’ve struggled on both ends of the ice, especially offensively. The Hurricanes have been very good recently, in second place in the Metro Division and although they’re coming off a 4-2 loss in Dallas on Tuesday, they’ve won 13 of their last 18 games. Carolina’s been very good on both ends of the ice. The Canes won the first game between these teams 3-1 at home a few weeks ago in dominant fashion, outshooting Arizona 39-11. I like them to win again pretty easily, and I’ll take them in regulation for 1.5 units. I’d lean the under, but not enough to bet it. UPDATE: I’m also adding a prop I like a lot on Sebastian Aho over .5 power play points, which I see a ton of value on at +180 for half a unit. They should have a good amount of chances and he’s on the top PP unit, so assists or goals on the power play should come relatively easy.

Game Bets

1.5u Hurricanes in regulation (-122)

.5u Sebastian Aho over .5 power play points (+180)

Futures

4u Vegas Golden Knights – Stanley Cup Champions (+1000)

Record: 417-371-10 (-59.9 units)
