Great episode of The Bachelor tonight with no real drama but a lot of real feelings

After a two night week of the Bachelor last week, Joey and his remaining ten ladies head to Montreal this week.

We start this episode with a confessional of Joey getting asked by a producer why he feels the need to be perfect, and he gets real and says that he doesn’t expect himself to be perfect, but feels that everyone else does. He then says that he’s struggled with that in the past and explains his concerns and how he’s scared of this not working out and someone not accepting him for him, as he falls for multiple women.

The week starts off with a group date rather than a one on one. Joey and the group go exploring around the city, and really none of the ladies make much of it, making it a very boring date to watch. While at the cocktail party, most of the girls tell Joey that they had a tough day, but Lexi brings up the most important conversation with Joey, asking him what kind of timeline he sees after this, like how long he’d want to be engaged and when he’d want to have kids. Their timelines are a bit off, so she has to think about it more. Such a mature, adult way to look at this thing, especially when you compare it to “I don’t know why Maria got a one on one”. Jess is the most in her own head and after she talks to Joey, he tells her that he just hasn’t been able to get there with her, and sends her home. Completely makes sense, there was zero connection there. Joey comes back to the rest of the girls and gives Jenn, who actually enjoyed the date, and made the most of it with a pretty effortless connection with Joey, the group date rose.

Kelsey T. gets the first one on one this week. Their date is cool, as they get to train to do Cirque du Soleil. Seems fun! Joey gets very dizzy, but they both enjoy the date. At dinner afterwards, Kelsey opens up to Joey about her relationship with her dad and how their relationship fell apart because of her decisions to not follow her fathers religious beliefs. She tells him that it led her to a lot of trust issues, rightfully so. Very mature conversation. Joey gives her the rose.

Onto Maria’s one on one date. She gets the shopping spree date, and you can tell even driving to the date, that her and Joey clearly have chemistry. They get all dressed up and then take their limo to a helicopter where they sightsee Montreal from above. After dinner, where they have a great time and have a good connection, Joey gives Maria the rose.

Lexi goes to Joey’s room to talk to him again about the concerns that she expressed to him during the group date around timing. She tells him that with her age and her health issues, that she can’t do the timeline he wants to and sends herself home, thanking him for how accepting and real he was. He’s stunned, but understands it, tells her that she’s going to be a remarkable mother, and sadly let’s her go.

The cocktail party for the most part is very drama free, besides a small awkward thing of Jenn teaching Joey the piano in front of all the other girls.

Onto the rose ceremony.

The first rose goes to Daisy. No surprise there. Then Kelsey A. And with the final rose tonight…

“Rachel, will you accept this rose?”

Absolutely the right move, sending Lea and Katelyn home. Just six ladies left.

This was a great episode. No real drama but a lot of real feelings.
