It’s already hometowns for Joey’s season of the Bachelor as he’s down to his top four ladies; Daisy, Rachel, Kelsey A., and to my disappointment, Maria. He clearly has very real feelings with all four of the women and it should pan out to be a very good finish to this season.
Kelsey’s hometown of New Orleans is the first one up for Joey as we dive right into it. They start off their date riding a tandem bike and go around NOLA. The big struggle going into meeting Kelsey’s family is her struggling that her mother, who passed away, won’t be able to be there. Everything goes well with Joey meeting Kelsey’s dad and the rest of her family and Kelsey tells her dad that she thinks she loves him.
Rachel’s hometown is next in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Their date starts with a lot of cultural stuff with her family which seems to go very well. When Joey talks to Rachel’s mom, the concern there for her mom is that there is still another three women. Her dad voices the same concerns. Joey asks for her dad’s blessing if it gets to the point and although he doesn’t say no, he also doesn’t say no. After meeting her family, Rachel tells Joey that she is falling in love with him.
Minnesota’s next for Joey to meet Daisy’s family. Their date starts off like the Taylor Swift song on a Christmas Tree Song. Meeting Daisy’s family afterwards goes really well and she gets emotional, as her parents push her to really tell Joey how she’s feeling if she really is falling in love with him and let her walls down. After that, Daisy tells Joey that she is in fact falling in love with him and that she’s going to go for it whole heartedly. Joey tells her that he feels the same way. FRONT RUNNER and SO rightfully so.
Joey wasn’t far from me, just in Niagara Falls for Maria’s hometowns date. They start their date going on the Maid of the Mist, which I’ve been on several times. After they talk and she tells Joey that she overreacted last week, she then concerns Joey with that he’s the first guy that she is taking home to meet her family. That’s another eye opener for him that she hasn’t been able to open up to anyone in the past to get to that point. Maria’s dad seems very skeptical of this whole process, but her dad does give Joey his blessing if they both choose each other. Her dad then talking to Maria even tells her to let her guard down a little bit and that she should be more open to it working out and seeing where it goes. She still struggles to open up to him though.
Big rose ceremony…and as soon as he picks up the first rose…”Joey, can I talk to you for a second?”
Maria is infuriating to watch on a week to week basis. She tells Joey that she doesn’t want to have regrets out of this and tells her that she regretted telling him that she could see herself falling in love with him, because she is falling in love with him. This girl is the worst. Please send her home anyway Joey.
Back to the rose ceremony.
“Daisy, will you accept this rose?”
FRONT RUNNER!
“Kelsey, will you accept this rose?”
No brainer.
And with the final rose tonight…
Please be Rachel…
“Rachel, will you accept this rose?”
LET’S GOOOOOOO!!!!
I don’t think I’ve been that excited for a rose since Colton’s season. I legit yelled out let’s go like Connor McDavid just scored a goal to cover a puck line with a minute to go (I really am good at writing there, I really need to blog more).
Joey tells Maria that he feels like it would be dishonest for him to move forward with her with how many doubts he has.
