NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 4/26/24

Winning night yesterday for me on the NHL. Despite going 1-2 I still won 0.46 units and have two big series bets a game away from cashing with Florida and Carolina pretty much locking them up, both up 3-0. Tonight we have four big games to get the weekend started! Let’s roll!

Game 3 – Capitals vs. Rangers (7:00)

The Capitals put in a hell of an effort in Game 2 on Tuesday night, but still came up short, unable to tie up the game on the way to a 4-3 win for the Rangers and this series heads to Washington with a 2-0 Rangers lead. I know a series isn’t over until you lose on home ice, but these teams aren’t even in the same stratosphere. I don’t even think the Caps can get a win at home here and this is gonna be a sweep. I’ll keep doubling down here with 1.5 units on the moneyline, half a unit on the puck line and a unit on the Rags team total. I’d slightly lean the over on the game but I’m not touching it.

Game 3 – Predators vs. Canucks (7:30)

This series is tied as it heads back to Smashville. I said going into the playoffs that I didn’t see the Canucks getting far into the playoffs without a healthy Thatcher Demko, and now he’s out week to week. We saw that in such a boring Game 2 of this series as Casey DeSmith wasn’t great in goal, giving up three goals on just the 15 shots he saw as the Preds won 4-1 in a game that only has 34 combined shots. This is easily the borings series of the playoffs. I added the Preds to win the series and I’m jumping on them again tonight as the catfish hits the ice in Nashville. I’ll take the Preds for a unit with another half a unit on the puck line. I also like the under here, which I’ll take at the alternate line of 6 for half a unit.

Game 3 – Avalanche vs. Jets (10:00)

Both games in this series have been awesome. After the Jets won 7-6 at home in a run and gun Game 1 with the goaltending for both sides being pretty terrible. I was a lot more concerned with this year’s pretty much guaranteed Vezina, Hellebuyck in Game 2 though, as the Avs won 5-2 on the road to take home ice in this series. Colorado outshot the Jets 46-23 in that game in yet another very physical game with 101 total hits. I like the Avalanche to win at home tonight and I’ll take them for a unit here in Game 3. I also am going right back to the over in this one and taking it for 1.5 units. Another play I like here, which Murls brought up on today’s episode of Game Notes, Artturi Lehkonen over 2.5 shots. He had seven shots in Game 1 and then

I’ll take it for half a unit.

Game 3 – Kings vs. Oilers (10:30)

After an awesome Game 1 for the Oilers at home with a 7-4 win, the Kings bounced back on the road and looked solid with a 5-4 overtime win. LA got out to a 3-1 lead in the first period before the Oilers came back, tying it up, and then after trading goals in the third, LA won 5-4 to tie up the series on Anze Kopitar’s game winner 2:07 into overtime. I still think Edmonton’s the better team here and I like them to get the win on the road in LA. I’ll go right back to the Oilers to bounce back tonight. I’ll take the moneyline and team total for a unit each, along with the puck line with a nice price at +180 for half a unit. I’m jumping on the over again too, which I’ll take the alternate over 6 for a unit. I feel like I have to keep riding the tip-in king, Zach Hyman who has four goals through the two games of this series for half a unit.
