My under in Leafs/Bruins Game 6 cashed me a unit easily last night on the NHL Playoffs. Tonight we have two more big Game 6s as the Predators and Golden Knights both try to avoid eliminations and force Game 7s themselves. Let’s keep this hot streak rolling!
Game 6 – Predators vs. Canucks (7:00)
This series has been so fucking boring. Every game, just a defensive grind, with neither offense generating a whole lot of anything. The Preds grinded out a 2-1 win in Game 5 in Vancouver on Tuesday night in yet another ridiculously boring game, that was scoreless until the third period. I thought when the Canucks lost Demko to injury in this series, it was done for them and Nashville would win the series. I still think that happens. I was surprised that Vancouver made it a 3-1 series after that but I do still like the Predators to win this. I have a pretty small play on them to win the series for 1.5 units, and I’m going to double down on Smashville here at home as the catfish hit the ice tonight. I’ll take the Preds for a unit. The play I like even better though is the under. Neither of these teams are generating any chances and the two times the over has hit has been with an empty net in Game 1 and then on the insane comeback with 8 seconds left to tie the game in Game 4. I’ll take the under for 1.5 units.
Game 6 – Golden Knights vs. Stars (10:00)
This series has been spectacular. After the Golden Knights won both of the first two games in Dallas, the Stars came back and now have the Cup Champs on the brink of elimination with three straight wins. Dallas has definitely been the better team in all three of those games. I have futures on both of these teams to win the Stanley Cup. I still think its a shame that this series is in the first round, but the team that wins this series I still like to go on and lift Lord Stanley. I feel like this game is a grind and it’s going to go to Game 7. I do think it’s going to be a high scoring game though. Since it’s an elimination game if Vegas loses, I will hedge my Knights future with 4 units on the Stars team total over 2.5, but I do think Vegas wins it and take it to an anything can happen Game 7 in Dallas. I’ll take the Knights team total over 2.5 for a unit as well. I like the game in general to go over obviously taking both team totals, so I’ll take the over on the game for 1.5 units. Let’s go nuts here and get a 4-3 Golden Knights win!
