Last night’s games weren’t awful, but with my Oilers in six games or less series prop losing with them giving up the late goal, I went 1-2, losing 1.56 units after the huge win on the Rangers team total. Tonight we have two Game 6s with the Panthers and Stars both looking to advance again!
Game 6 – Bruins vs. Panthers (7:00)
Game 5 of this series with Florida having the chance to close out the series at home and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for the second year in a row was the closest game we’ve seen so far between these teams. The Panthers outshot Boston 29-28 but weren’t able to end it in a 2-1 loss with another incredible playoff performance in goal from Jeremy Swayman. I was pretty surprised that Florida didn’t close it out at home but this series is over tonight. I like the Panthers to win this one on the road and eliminate Boston for the second year in a row. I already have them to win the series for 2 units and I’ll double down here for 1.5 units the moneyline and half a unit on the puck line. I’d lean the over but not enough to bet it.
Game 6 – Avalanche vs. Stars (10:00)
After a horrendous performance in Game 4 with Val Nichushkin getting suspended, I figured the Avs were done but their offense came alive without him in Game 5 to extend this series back to Denver for Game 6 tonight. They scored four goals in the final 23 minutes of the game on their way to a 5-3 win. I feel like Dallas is too deep to lose two in a row here and I think they bounce back and advance my Cup future to the Western Conference Finals tonight. I’ll take them for a unit along with their team total over 2.5 for a unit and the puck line for half a unit. I like the over on this game as well, which I’ll also take for a unit.
