Second winning night in a row for me on the NHL Playoffs yesterday, as I won 1.5 units on the Stars tying up the Western Conference Finals. Today we have an early matinee as the East shifts to Florida for Game 3. Let’s keep the wins coming!
Game 3 – Panthers vs. Rangers (3:00)
After a 3-0 shutout loss in Game 1 of this series at home in a pretty weird game, the Rangers tied up the series in an awesome, low scoring, grind of a Game 2 at home, winning 2-1 in overtime on Barclay Goodrow’s game winner. The Rags outshot Florida 30-27 and generated 3.03 expected goals to the Panthers’ 2.39. I’m pretty confident with my series bet for this to go over 5.5 games, with each team just needing one more win to cash it. I feel like the Panthers are the just slightly better team in this series and I’d slightly lean they win Game 3 at home this afternoon, but not enough to bet it. I’ll stay off the side. The unders in the first two games of this series have come so easy, with neither team getting many quality scoring chances and two fantastic goalies between the pipes. I’ll jump on the under again today for 1.5 units.
