Joan’s Hometowns Bring Concern and Confidence

Joan’s already at her hometowns of The Golden Bachelorette with her four final guys; Pascal, Chock, Guy, and Jordan. It’s quite different on the Golden side as instead of meeting parents and friends, you’re meeting kids. Fun dynamic.

Guy’s hometown of beautiful Lake Tahoe is first. They start with a boat date around the lake. Afterwards, Joan opens up to Guy about the guilt she feels on moving on from John although she’s building feelings for all four remaining guys. Joan meets Guy’s kids, brothers, sisters, and his baby grandson. Guy’s family loves Joan and he tells them that he’s falling for her and he tears up saying that he feels like he can love again. Afterwards, he tells Joan that he’s really falling for her.

Chicago’s next for Joan for two hometown dates. Pascal’s up first in Chicago. Their date begins with Pascal taking Joan to see the salon he owns and meet the people there. Both of them open up to each other about their fears of things not working out and being heartbroken again. Joan then meets Pascal’s friends, kids, and grandson. His kids are a big fan of Joan and they tell her that they think that Pascal would pick her at the end of this, addressing her biggest concern with them.

Jordan, who I think is probably the weakest relationship of the four is next up in Chicago. They start off getting deep dish pizza at Lou Malnati’s. They then meet Jordan’s daughters and brothers. Joan tells them that she’s the most worried out of the four guys that Jordan wouldn’t be ready to open up and get there with Joan at the end of this. Joan’s very hesitant following their date on that they could get there.

Both Pascal and Jordan’s hometowns gave Joan some concern with how guarded they both were.

Chock is last, Joan’s front runner, in Wichita, Kansas. His hometown is a huge gathering with all his friends and family. They have a memorial for Chock’s mother who passed away a few weeks prior. It goes great, his family gives them their blessing and Chock tells Joan that he’s falling in love with her.

Onto the rose ceremony and going into it Joan says that she feels in a funk and is nervous with Jordan and Pascal not being completely committed, so she feels less confident.

Chock gets the first rose. Zero surprise whatsoever on that decision. Guy gets the next one. Again no surprise. They’re the two she feels confident in.

And with the final rose of the night…

“Pascal, will you accept this rose?”

I’m not surprised by that decision either. Jordan was the one that was the least in on Joan’s relationship and that she had the most hesitance in their relationship.

Next week it’s onto fantasy suites for Joan with Chock, Guy, and Pascal.
