I essentially broke even on the NHL last night, going 3-2 and dropping a couple dollars. Tonight we have some nice spots in a four game slate, let’s crush it!
Golden Knights vs. Senators (6:00)
These teams have both had hot starts to their seasons, but the talent level is quite different between them. The Golden Knights should win this early start pretty easily at home in the Fortress. I’ll take Vegas for half a unit. I like the over too, which I’ll take for half a unit as well.
Devils vs. Islanders (7:00)
Not a great matchup. The Devils let me down last night with a 5-3 loss to the Red Wings and despite their three game losing streak, I still think this is a very solid team. I don’t think the Isles are great by any means and even in the second half of a back to back, I like Jersey to win this one and I’ll take them for half a unit.
Blackhawks vs. Predators (8:30)
Pretty lousy matchup here. Although the Preds are just 1-5 on the season, I think they’re a very talented team that should turn it around and make the playoffs again. The Blackhawks on the other hand are one of the worst teams in the league. I’ll take Smashville for half a unit on the road. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it.
Oilers vs. Penguins (9:00)
Both of these teams haven’t had great start to their seasons. The Oilers are the better team here and should win this game at home, but no shot am I trusting them to bet the -215 or limit myself to just regulation. I’ll lay off this game entirely.
