It’s already fantasy suite week for Joan as her season of The Golden Bachelorette nears its end. Joan and her three remaining men; Chock, Guy, and Pascal, leave LA for the Islands of Tahiti. I’ve loved this season. Joan’s the perfect lead, there’s been next to no drama this season, and I really hope she ends up with one of these three guys. My drink is poured, let’s get into fantasy suite dates!
Before her dates begin, Nancy, who was also on the first season of The Golden Bachelor, comes to see Joan on the cruise ship to talk. Joan talks about her three remaining guys and tells Nancy that she anticipates their discussions off camera could be very important. She also says that her only red flag is being able to open up her heart.
The first overnight date is with Joan. Their date begins with a ride on a yacht through the beautiful blue water. They talk about how they connected more during his hometown date and then go snorkeling. Joan says that their date made them feels as strong as other relationships and she feels great about it. They get to the talk about fantasy suites and Joan tells Guy that she’s not doing the physical part of fantasy suites and is saving that for when she has a final person at the end of this, but that she finds it very valuable for them to spend time off camera. Guy agrees that it’s a great idea and that the emotional side to intimacy over the physical at their age is much more important. Joan gives Guy the fantasy suite note, which notably doesn’t actually say fantasy suite, and they decide to spend the evening together in one of the bungalows overlooking the water. The next morning Guy says their overnight went great and that he’s falling in love with Joan.
Chock’s next up for his overnight date with Joan. I feel like going into this week he’s absolutely the front runner. They start off their date driving around the island in a side by side. He’s still the front runner and Joan clearly has very strong feelings for Chock, worried that he might be too good to be true. Their dinner date is on the cruise ship. What Joan’s said from the beginning of this is that before this she felt unseen and now with Chock she feels like she is and she’s confident with him.

Pascal is the last one to have his overnight date with Joan. He’s the one that Joan is the least confidence in since he still has his walls up. For their date they do more of a local date with trying local food and then doing the usual traditional, spiritual date that there’s always at least one of each season. Alarmingly after that portion of their date, Pascal says he didn’t expect their date to be so emotional and that he isn’t ready for that. He tells her at dinner that he doesn’t want to hurt her but doesn’t feel like he can get to the place that she wants him to be at the end of this. He says that he doesn’t have that spark and his heart isn’t ready. Pascal sends himself home. Can’t say I’m that surprised. It was the right thing. Gotta feel bad for Joan at that point.
Next week it’s the Men Tell All, before Joan’s journey as the Golden Bachelorette concludes.
