Spectacular night on the NHL for me yesterday, going 9-1 to win 4.9 units, an under away from the sweep. Great night! Tonight we have just one game, which is smart going up against March Madness. Let’s cash on it!
Penguins vs. Blue Jackets (7:00)
Pretty lousy matchup in the Metro Division for the only game on the board. The Penguins have had a brutal season, having a surprising four game win streak come to an end on Tuesday with a 4-2 loss at home to the Islanders. The Blue Jackets have come crashing down, but are still just three points back from Montreal in the tight race for the second Wild Card spot in the East. They’re in a pretty bad slump right now, in the second half of a back to back tonight, coming off a 1-0 overtime loss at home to the Panthers last night. Columbus has just one win in their last eight games, and they’ve been shut out four times in that span. The Jackets won both previous games between these teams, winning 6-2 at home in November and 4-3 in a shootout on the road in January. I think they’re the better team but in the midst of this slump and with them in the second half of back to back, I’d slightly lean the Pens win this one at home to avoid the season sweep. Definitely not betting it though. I do like the over in this game, which I’ll take at 6 for a unit.
