Great Sunday for me yesterday on the playoffs, going 5-1 to win 6.25 units. Crushed it! Tonight the NHL has just two games, let’s win on them both!
Game 4: Panthers vs. Lightning (7:00)
The Lightning in a do or die Game 3 flipped the script of this series in the third period on Saturday afternoon, winning 5-1. Vasilevskiy was very good, making 33 saves as they turned a 2-1 lead going into the third period into a 5-1 victory. It was good to see the Bolts show signs of life that game after getting dominated in the first two games of this series at home. I can cash my over 5.5 games in the series play tonight with a Tampa win on the road, which I considered hedging a bit tonight, but worst case if the Lightning lose tonight, I’ll just completely hedge out of it in Game 5 in Tampa. I’d lean the over, but not quite enough to bet it, so I’ll lay off this game completely. I’d expect this to be the best game of the series so far.
Game 5: Stars vs. Avalanche (9:30)
I cashed my first series play on Game 4 of this matchup on Saturday night as the Avs made it go over 5.5 games with their dominant 4-0 win at home to tie the series up at 2, an electric game with Mac Blackwood getting his first playoff shutout of his career and Gabriel Landeskog scoring his first goal in almost three years. Colorado poured it on with 48 shots, chasing Oettinger out of the net in the third period, a nice bounce back from overtime losses in Games 2 and 3. I still like the Avalanche to win this series, and I’ll double down on my series bet with a unit on them tonight. I’d lean the over, but don’t like it enough to bet on.
