I crushed Game 6 of Blues/Jets, with an easy 2-0 night to win 2.86 units and give us Game 7 tomorrow. Tonight we have an incredible Game 7 matchup in the NHL Playoffs between the Stars and Avs, let’s keep on winning!
Game 7: Stars vs. Avalanche (8:00)
This series in the Central has been fantastic, and I think the winner of it goes to the Western Conference Finals against the winner of Game 7 in Jets vs. Blues tomorrow. The Avs started this series hot, winning Game 1 5-1 in a game that was much closer than the score to take home ice in the series. The Stars answered with a 4-3 overtime win at home in Game 2, then took home ice back with a 2-1 overtime win on the road in Game 4. Colorado answered big, dominating Game 4 at home to tie the series with a 4-0 shutout at home in a game that saw MacKenzie Blackwood get his first career playoff shutout and Gabe Landeskog score his first goal in almost three years. Dallas answered with a dominating 6-2 shutout at home in Game 6. In Game 6 the Stars led 4-3 going into the third period with a four goal second period, but the Avs came alive in the third period, scoring four unanswered to win it 7-4 and force Game 7 tonight. I think the Avalanche are the better team in this series and I like them to win it, just as I did going into the series. I have 2 units already on them to win it, at a slightly better price than the market has today at -155 (vs. the -166 moneyline). Although I think they win, the Stars are a fantastic team and their at home. Dallas head coach Pete DeBour has never lost Game 7 and I think I have to at least buy out of part of that series bet and as a partial hedge, I’ll take the Stars for a unit, pretty much making tonight a unit on the Avs at -170, taking a worse number than I have but reducing the risk. If I did not have any series bet, I’d just take the Avs for a unit. Game 7s always trend under, so I’ll take the under as well for half a unit, despite this whole series trending over.
