NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 5/4/25

Losing night yesterday with the Avs collapse to Mikko Rantanen’s third period hat trick against his former team, as I went 1-2 to lose 2.26 units. Tonight we have the other Game 7 of the first round of the NHL Playoffs as the Jets and Blues play to face the Stars in Round 2, let’s bounce back!

Game 7: Jets vs. Blues (7:00)

This series has been awesome, with the home team winning every game so far. Connor Hellebuyck has chased out of the net in all three road games of the series and the soon to be back-to-back Vezina winner has looked awful. The Blues dominated Game 6 at home on Friday night with a heated 5-2 win at home. I said that going into playoffs that I could see the Blues pull off the upset here as the #8 seed against the President’s Trophy winners, and I still think that happens. I like St. Louis to win their first Game 7 since the 2019 Cup Finals when they lifted Lord Stanley in Boston, and I’ll take them to advance for half a unit with the first and only road win of the series. Game 7s always trend under, but with this series trending over, and Hellebuyck playing terrible in goal, I’ll stay off the total in this game, especially with the under so juiced up.
