Although I went 2-1 on the NHL Playoffs last night, I lost .48 units. Tonight let’s bounce back and get out of this little slump as the Caps and Golden Knights both look to tie their series in Game 2s at home.
Game 2: Capitals vs. Hurricanes (7:00)
I thought the Capitals looked terrible in Game 1 on Tuesday. Although they scored first and took the game to overtime, Carolina was the far better team in it and were rewarded with the win on Jaccob Slavin’s game winner in OT. The Caps were outshot 33-14 and didn’t really generate and offense. I feel like they have to bounce back here at home, and tie up the series with a win before the series shifts down to Raleigh. I’ll take the Caps for a unit. I also like the under here, which I’ll take for a unit as well.
Game 2: Golden Knights vs. Oilers (9:30)
Vegas looked rusty in Game 1 of this series on Tuesday night, losing 4-2 at home. Mark Stone scored two goals early and the Knights got blanked after that, with the Oilers coming back to tie it early in the third period. With 3:02 left in regulation, Zach Hyman scored the go-ahead goal and Connor Brown 1:15 later capped off the game with a breakaway goal to give the Oilers the win in Game 1. I do still think the Golden Knights are the better team here and I fully expect a bounce back from them at home tonight in the Fortress. I’ll take Vegas for a unit. The over came up short in Game 1, but I’m going right back to it tonight in Game 2 and I’ll take it for a unit too.
