I swept the board yesterday, going 3-0 on the NHL in yesterday’s playoff games to win 3.5 units. Let’s have another winning day on today’s two big second round games!
Game 3: Stars vs. Jets (4:30)
After losing 3-2 in a game they didn’t play great in Game 1 as Mikko Rantanen scored a natural hat trick for the second game in a row, the Jets bounced back in fantastic fashion on Friday in Game 2, winning 4-0 at home to tie the series as Connor Hellebuyck made 21 saves for his first shutout of this year’s playoffs. I do think the Stars are the better team in this series and with it shifting to Dallas, I like them to win at home this afternoon. I’ll take the Stars for a unit. I like the under as well, which I’ll take for half a unit.
Game 4: Panthers vs. Maple Leafs (7:30)
This series has been electric. After losing two close games on the road in Games 1 and 2, the Panthers bounced back with a hell of a second period in Game 3 on Friday night as the series shifted home to Lauderdale for them. They got the 5-4 win in overtime on Brad Marchand’s game winner, coming back from an early 2-0 deficit in the first six minutes of the game. I like Florida to tie up the series with a win here at home tonight and I’ll lay the -192 on them for half a unit. The play I like better though is the over, which has hit easily in all three games of this series so far. I’ll take the over 6 for a unit.
