Another solid day yesterday, going 3-1 to win 2 units on the Oilers blowout win. Let’s make it three big winning nights in a row with a shot for the Panthers to sweep the Canes again tonight!
Game 4: Panthers vs. Hurricanes (8:00)
This series is over tonight. The Hurricanes are gonna get swept again in the Eastern Conference Finals, in even more embarrassing fashion than they did two years ago, as the Panthers will punch their ticket tonight to their third straight Stanley Cup Finals and await if they’ll have a rematch of last year against the Oilers or get a new opponent in the Stars. The Canes weren’t as awful as their 5-2 loss in Game 1 looked, with a fantastic performance in goal from Bobrovsky in a game they outshot the Panthers 33-20 and generated an expected goal rate of 3.73 to Florida’s 2.2. In Game 2 on Wednesday night though, the Hurricanes got completely dominated in every facet of the game, getting blown out 5-0 at home to go down 2-0 in the series, only generating 17 shots on goal and having Freddy Andersen chased out of the net. Andersen got benched for Game 3 on Saturday night, which was close through the first two periods, tied 1-1 going into the third, but then the Panthers poured it on, scoring five in a row in the first 10:37 of the third to win 6-2 at home to put Carolina on the brink of elimination. I already have 2 units on the Panthers to win the series, and I’ll double down on them completing the sweep tonight, with 2 units on the ML and a unit on the puck line. With it being an elimination game, I like the over as well, which I’ll take for half a unit, expecting Carolina to pull the goalie early. I’m going to take a couple point prop shots too with a half unit on Evan Rodrigues and Brad Marchand. Let’s go Panthers!!
