What an Insane Rose Ceremony Moment in Paradise Last Night

Last week the latest season of Bachelor in Paradise, revamped at a new resort with the production taken to a new level, began in fantastic fashion. Drama, love triangles, and craziness already on the beach. This week we get back to back episodes of fun. I’m late watching last night’s episode since I had to work, but let’s get into it!

The guys have the roses this week, with new ladies coming to the beach. A lot of these guys are still pretty open to explore other relationships. The first two new ladies to show up are Parisa and Alli Jo from Grant’s season of The Bachelor. I don’t mind either of them, and I’m sure both can bring the drama. The two each get a date card on their arrival. The first person the two new girls talk to is Zoe, who tells them not to take her man, while Brian clearly doesn’t give a fuck and is open to dating other people. Parisa is into Brian and they kick it off, while Alli Jo is interested in Dale.

This week the cast has their first “chemistry test” as they split out with Hannah taking the girls and Wells taking all the guys. They all get to choose kiss or don’t kiss for everyone, and if they match, they get to meet in a kissing booth with no one knowing. That’s fun, like Tinder in real life. Jonathan and Alexe are first after Alexe gave Jonathan her rose and they have a spark kissing. He also makes out with Alli Jo, Parisa, and Bailey. Zoe’s next, and waiting in the booth for her is Brian, who she had her doubts on. Brian then matches with Parisa, that he seems to have a stronger spark with. Jess and Spencer only choose each other, and I think they’re the strongest couple in Paradise. Jeremy swipes right on four girls, but the only one that selected him was Bailey. Awkward. Justin only selects Lexi, who’s still anxious about him not being over Susie (who I’m sure will be at the resort soon enough). Dale matches with Alexe, Alli Jo, Zoe, along with Kat.

After the kissing booths, Zoe pulls Brian to talk to him and starts questioning him. It isn’t great, and I’m sure this is just going to lead him directly to a date with Parisa. He tells Zoe that he feels good with the two of them, but he clearly isn’t on the same page as she is. She comes off very insecure there. And just like clockwork (and fantastic producing), Parisa walks right over to Brian. Awkward. Right away, Brian tells Parisa that he’s glad that she came to interrupt that conversation and that she’s the first one he’s been excited to see. She asks him on the date, and he happily accepts. Alli Jo talks to Dale and Jonathan and ends up asking Jonathan to go on the date, which doesn’t really worry Alexe. The double date ends up being game night, hosted by Wells at a bar.

Another new arrival to Paradise, Jill from Clayton’s season of the Bachelor returns to Paradise for the second time. She talks to Justin, who was on season 8 of Paradise with her, for some advice. Justin suggests Jeremy, Jonathan, and Dale for her.

Lexi talks to Justin about how she can’t move forward on a connection with him, because she knows that he isn’t over Susie. That surprises Justin a bit, and I sort of get it for both sides. That’s done, so they both decide to talk to other people.

And who else shows up to Paradise right at that moment…Susie! I like Susie a lot. She said no to Clayton for the final rose, and then dated Justin for a few years, which ended four months before they filmed this season. Susie quickly addresses that it’s going to be strange for both her and Justin with their ex right across the beach. Jeremy pulls Susie to introduce himself and talk.

After the group comes back from the double date, Brian’s all about Parisa. Zoe’s pissed and tries to pivot to Dale after they went in the kissing booth together. She pulls him and Dale tells her that he is focusing on Kat.

Justin and Susie go talk to each other. Justin tells her about him and Lexi, and how Lexi was uncomfortable with the dynamics and how he’s been in his whole head trying to navigate the situation of the two of them being there together.

The next morning, Jill and Susie both get date cards.

Brian pulls Zoe aside to talk to her and clear the air since Zoe’s still making it pretty weird and still having hope, but clearly that’s gone. He tells Zoe that he has a better connection with Parisa and that they have more in common. Zoe comes at him and bitches at him, which clearly doesn’t matter. They get in a whole argument out of it, which is crazy on like Day 5 of Paradise. So that’s completely over now.

Susie and Lexi talk about the whole situation with Justin, and Susie assures Lexi that they’re all good and that chapter of their life is over.

Alli Jo pulls Dale to talk to him and they have a connection, and make out on a day bed.

Susie asks Jeremy to go on the date, and he’s excited to go with her. He goes and talks to Bailey, and she’s confident enough to tell him that he should go and that he isn’t really worried about it. Susie and Jeremy start their date off jet skiing, which looks like a blast. They hit it off, and meanwhile at the pool, Bailey is telling Alli Jo how confident she is in their relationship.

Jill asks Jonathan to go on the date with her in the VIP suite, which he says feels like its more for a friendship date, and doesn’t seem going into it that they’re going to have a romantic connection, but who knows. They make drinks, play Twister, and they have a little spark.

At the cocktail party, Justin and Lexi talk again and he opens up about how he felt with Susie coming in and Lexi seems to accept the idea of pursuing a relationship between them again.

There’s a few guys that I think are a bit unsure on who they want to give the rose to. Jonathan has Alexe and Jill to decide on for who to give his rose to. Dale seems like he’s going to give his rose to Kat, but there’s still the possibility of Alli Jo, who talks to him and he says that even though Kat is his focus, he’s still very intrigued by her.

Justin checks in with Susie about how its going. She says that it’s tough for all three of them, and Justin even tells Susie that he thinks that their relationship actually is giving him a better experience. Clearly there’s still a ton of feelings there between them.

Rose ceremony time with four girls going home.

Spencer goes first with his rose obviously going to Jess. Dale’s up next and gives his rose to Kat, likely sending home Alli Jo. Jeremy has a tough decision between Bailey and Susie, and he goes with Bailey, giving her his rose. He says what swayed him to Bailey was she comfortable she was in wanting to be with him. Brian obviously gives his rose to Parisa. I don’t know how Zoe could be shocked by that. Jonathan’s second last, and decides to give his rose to Alexe after going on dates with both Alli Jo and Jill. And with the final rose of the night for Justin, obviously should go to Lexi.

“Susie”

WHAT!?

Absolutely everyone’s shocked, besides shockingly, Lexi.

Susie even asks Justin “what are you doing?” As she walks to that rose stand. She says she appreciates it, but can’t accept the rose. Justin walks away from the rose ceremony and Susie follows him.

It all continues tonight, as the goldens arrive to Paradise and the drama continues!
