The Goldens Arrive to Paradise!

We’re on the second half of a back to back with Monday’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise ending with insanity at the rose ceremony with Justin offering his rose to his ex, Susie to complete shock to everyone. We pick right up from that jaw dropping move at the rose ceremony with Susie chasing down Justin while everyone else is shocked. Lexi also walks away.

Cut to Justin in his hotel room and talking to Jesse. Justin tells him that when him and Susie started dating, they promised that no matter what happened after that they’d look out for each other. Jesse offers Justin to talk to Susie one more time before they both leave, which Justin declines. Jesse also offers to give the rose to one of the other girls on his behalf.

Susie returns to the rose ceremony after Justin decides to go home, and Jesse offers Justin’s rose on his behalf to Jill. Jill declines at first and then the rest of the girls convince her to just take the pity rose to stay. Susie, Alli Jo, Zoe, and Lexi all go home.

The next morning, in the aftermath of the rose ceremony, everyone’s still shocked by what happened. In the pool, Jeremy tells the other guys that he’s bummed about Susie leaving, and that if things don’t work out in Paradise he’s definitely going to send her a DM to try to get together again.

The goldens arrive to Paradise for the first time ever! Super excited to see how it plays out with them since I think the Golden Bachelor and Golden Bachelorette were both phenomenal seasons to spin the show, and it should be a completely twist to Paradise.

The goldens to start it off are April, Leslie, Kim, RJ, Keith, Natascha, Kathy, Jack, and CK. Whole new energy coming to Paradise!

Andrew, from Katie’s season of the Bachelorette comes back to Paradise for the second time with a date card in hand. He asks Bailey to go on the after with him after talking to her and Alexe.

Bailey goes to quickly talk to Jeremy, who had just gone on a date yesterday, and he like questions her and gets kind of butthurt about it, which I didn’t really expect when Jeremey was so up in the air the night between Bailey and Susie. That upsets Bailey too, which is understandable. Immediately after that conversion, Jeremy talks to a producer, goes to the confessional and says he wants Susie back, especially if she’s still at the resort. He says that he made the decision to give Bailey the rose because of what she told him at the cocktail party and is pissed that she’s going on a date with the next guy that arrived. Buddy, you literally went on a date with the newest girl to arrive THE DAY BEFORE.

Andrew and Bailey’s date starts with a coffee spa thing, even though neither of them drink coffee.

A producer calls Susie for Jeremy. She answers and he tells her that he feels like he made the wrong decision and should have given her the rose instead. She tells him that she can’t come back, but they had a great time on their date and that he should have fun.

Meanwhile the goldens are playing two truths and a lie and having a grand old time.

Jeremy talks to Alexe about the whole situation with Bailey and Susie. Alexe opens up to Jeremy that she doesn’t see it working with Jonathan and she has been trying, but can’t get there with him. Alexe awkwardly pulls Jonathan to go talk to him and tells him that she’s trying so hard, but can’t get there with him. She friend zones him, he says it sucks to hear, but that he’s glad she was honest about it.

The next morning, Jeremy is all over the place about the situation and talks to Bailey. She apologizes about it, and she reassures Jeremy that she’s still wants to be with him.

Jack has the first golden kiss of Paradise, with April in the pool.

Andrew talks to Alexe and tells her the next morning that he took like a half hour debating between Bailey and her. He says that he wants to keep talking to her, but Alexe tells the confessional that she doesn’t want to be his second choice. A little bit later though they make out in the pool.

Jill and Jonathan talk now that his potential relationship with Alexe is over. All these girls are confused with Jonathan’s actions. It’s like this guy, who’s a huge fan favorite and all the girls think are hot, has zero game on a show that’s all about it. He can’t directly talk without girls squeezing the words out of him. They pretty much friend zone each other.

Sean from Charity’s season of the Bachelorette comes back to Paradise for the second time. He gets a date card for a fun ATV date and asks Jill to go with him, who’s thrilled to go, despite them likely not being a great match. They have a blast.

The next exercise, sponsored by the movie I Know What You Did Last Summer, has each person write their biggest secret and put it in a box. Jesse then will reach them all and then vote on which is the most shocking, and the person can decide to either reveal themselves or stay anonymous with consequences. The most shocking secret is voted to be that someone slept with another person in their house while their partner was in another room. Scandalous! Kathy admits that it was her secret. Wouldn’t have expected that one. Because she admits it, she gets a key into the VIP suite. Kathy invites Keith up to the VIP suite with her.

Jonathan tries to patch things up with Jill to try to get a rose and the conversation goes no where.

The drama for both the youngens and the goldens continues next week!
