Very Short But Decent Episode of Golden Bachelor Tonight

Through the first two episodes of this season, I have liked this second season of The Golden Bachelor and I’ve enjoyed watching this cast of women fighting for Mel’s heart.

We got a later start tonight for some unknown reason, with this episode starting at 9pm. I’m sure that the general audience of this show isn’t pleased and aren’t crazy 33 year old single guys that stay up gambling on West coast hockey every night like me, so not the best move by ABC there. And it’s only an hour episode, which blows.

We start up with the ladies calling out Nicolle for making out with Mel in the pool last week. Nothing really comes of it.

For the group date, Jared Fried, the big Bachelor fan comedian leads the ladies with roasts. I think that’s a fun date with the goldens. The ladies all do a great job on it. I thought Amy and Nicolle do the best job with it, and Mel picks Nicolle as the winner to go to the one on one dinner with him.

At dinner, Nicolle asks Mel all about his divorce and they talk about their previous relationships ending and they both open up to each other and have a solid conversation. There’s definitely a spark between them and Mel gives her the rose.

Debbie, who has never been married, gets the one on one date this week. Their date has them cook together with, led by a Michelin star chef. I think this is actually a great date idea. Like connecting with someone and talking while you’re having a couple glasses of wine and cooking something up’s awesome. And it recreates what you could be doing in real life outside of here. They have fun with it together. Mel gives Debbie the rose.

While Debbie and Mel are on their date, Kathy and Susan, fan favorites from season 1 come host a slumber party for the rest of the ladies and give some advice. I think that is helpful for some of them. We also get a funny clip with these older women getting gifted vibrators from Kathy and Susan.

After a quick cocktail party where all the ladies tried to get one on one time with Mel, another rose ceremony, with four women going home. Cindy, who’s my favorite, gets the first rose. The final rose tonight goes to…Carol, Freddy Freeman’s aunt.

This episode felt so short, but it was decent I guess.
