I’ve enjoyed this season of Golden Bachelor, and think Mel got a great cast, with the exception of Nicolle, who’s the worst golden this franchise has ever seen. There are just six women left, with three of them going home this week and just three of them go to hometowns. Mel decides not to hand out roses at either dates this week, saving all three for the rose ceremony.
Cindy gets the final one on one date before hometowns. She’s my favorite, so I’m glad she got it. That leaves Carol as the only one remaining that won’t have a one on one date.
The last group date of the season is a spiritual retreat thing in the mountains. Mel spends some time with each of the women on the date individually. Him and Peg have a strong connection and you could see they mesh together pretty well as they do a mud bath thing together. Cheryl, who I like a lot, tells Mel that she feels like she’s falling in love with him in a cold plunge. Debbie and Mel do tantric yoga, and Debbie tells Mel afterwards that she’s falling in love with him. Nicolle, the biggest villain in Golden history does a card reading thing. Wacko shit. And this lady is so unlikable. I can’t stand the way she talks. As they talk after, Nicolle talks about her Instagram and wanting to write a cook book, and that finally opens Mel’s eyes to that she’s not here for the right reasons. Finally. Lastly Carol, who I think’s good, but hasn’t really opened up to Mel. They do a chakra clearing thing together. Afterwards, she opens up to him that she doesn’t feel like Mel has a connection with her, and she sends herself home. I respect when the goldens send themselves home. She words it perfectly that Mel’s a catch but he wasn’t her catch.
Cindy’s one on one date with Mel starts with horseback riding up to get a whole view of LA. They have a lot of fun, and afterwards she talks about her divorce and how she got to be who she is today. She’s very open about it. This woman is a wonderful find for this franchise. Love her. Smiling ear to ear watching this conversation. He gives her a dedication to a star and they look through a huge telescope. I hope she wins and they end up together forever.
Before the rose ceremony, the ladies get to FaceTime their families, which was nice, besides having to see Nicolle on screen again.
Rose ceremony time. I hope its Cindy and Cheryl for sure, and then as long as it’s not Nicolle, I don’t really care who gets the other one out of Peg and Debbie.
Cindy gets the first rose for a hometown. Yes!
Peg gets the second rose. I’m not too surprised by that. Mel’s definitely into her.
And with the final rose of the night..please be Cheryl.
“Debbie, will you accept this rose?”
Good for her. I felt bad for Cheryl going home, but good riddance Nicolle.
Mel walks Cheryl out and they wish each other the best. I’d like to see her be the next Golden Bachelorette. She’s very emotional leaving.
Meanwhile, Mel tells Nicolle he obviously had an attraction for her, but there wasn’t anything there other than that. Then this bitch tells him that when it probably doesn’t work out with whoever he picks, to call her. The WORST. She even pitches herself in the camera for the Golden Bachelorette. I hope this lady’s never on my TV screen again (besides maybe the Women Tell All).
Hometowns next week!
Great episode.
