Solid Hometowns for As Non-Committal to Any of These Relationships Mel Was

Mel’s already onto hometowns in this decent season of the Golden Bachelor. I’m enjoying it the least of the three golden seasons we’ve had so far, but I have liked it.

I had a lacrosse game last night, so I’m a night late watching this week. I was able to avoid any spoilers thankfully though. Drink’s poured (Brew Review of it up this weekend), let’s get into it.

Peg, Cindy, and Debbie are the final three remaining with Mel heading to their hometowns.

Peg’s the first one to have her hometown date, in Las Vegas. She takes him to the firehouse where she’s works then back home to meet her family. Peg’s daughter asks Mel if he’s in love with her mom, he says no, and she really digs into Mel with a ton of questions, both about their relationship and if he’ll be ready for any engagement at the end of this. He seems very non committal about anything. Overall though it goes pretty well.

Mel’s in Denver next for Debbie’s hometown. They start the date walking at Red Rocks, and when they sit down they talk about how she broke up with her ex, and two weeks later he committed suicide. That’s a huge undertaking, and it makes a lot more sense that she’s been single so long. That’s deep and there’s so much that had to crumble her. Poor lady. The date goes very well and Mel enjoys meeting Debbie’s family.

Last hometown, Austin, Texas for Cindy’s hometown. She’s been my favorite since night one and still is. They start off meeting Cindy’s daughters. Again Mel’s still a little bit reserved and doesn’t open up much about their relationship with Cindy’s daughters. Afterwards, Cindy brings Mel to her condo and she tells Mel that she doesn’t know how he’s feeling about her, and she tells him that she is really falling for her. She asks how he’s feeling with the other two hometowns. Cindy also has confidence and says, she knows someone will pick her, and that she wants it to be Mel. She also says that she realizes that she’s still an option. I still think they have the strongest relationship, but it doesn’t seem like his feelings for any of them is all that strong.

Final rose ceremony. The first rose goes to Peg. Kind of a surprise, I thought Cindy would be the first.

“Cindy, will you accept this rose?

I kind of figured that Cindy and Peg would be the final too. I feel bad for Debbie though. As Mel says, Debbie’s such a genuine person. He walks her out and apologizes for it. I could see them making Debbie the next Golden Bachelorette.

Solid hometowns for as non-committal to any of these relationships Mel was.
