NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 10/27/25

I lost just under a unit on the NHL yesterday, going 2-3. Tonight we have just two lousy games before a Frozen Frenzy tomorrow with every team in action. Let’s get a win tonight!

Penguins vs. Blues (7:00)

Interesting cross conference matchup here. The Penguins have really surprised me in their 6-2-1 start to the season, seeing that I expected them to be towards the bottom of the league this year. They had a four game win streak come to an end on Saturday losing 5-4 in a shootout in Columbus. The Blues have struggled defensively, dropping to 3-4-1 on the season and coming into tonight on a three game losing streak off a 6-4 loss in Detroit on Saturday. I do still think St. Louis is the better team here, but I’d slightly lean the Pens win this one at home. I’m not betting it though. I do like the over though, and I’ll take it at 6 to have a bit of push insurance there. I don’t think the 6.5 is worth at +110 and the 5.5 isn’t worth the -150.

Senators vs. Bruins (7:30)

Pretty terrible matchup in the Atlantic Division. The Senators have struggled without Brady Tkachuk to start the year, but have played better as of late. Coming off a surprising 7-1 blowout against the Caps on the road on Saturday, they’ve won two in a row and have gone 3-1-1 in their last five games to improve to 4-4-1 on the year. The Bruins have been awful since their 3-0 start to the season, but ended a six game losing streak with a pretty shocking 3-2 win at home against the Avs on Saturday. I’d lean Ottawa wins this game at home tonight, but the price is too inflated for me to bet on them at -170. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it, so I’ll lay off this game entirely.

Bets

.5u Blues/Penguins over 6 (-110)

Record: 49-46 (-11.78 units)
