NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 10/29/25

Profitable night for me yesterday on the NHL’s Frozen Frenzy, going 7-4 to win 0.62 units on a fun night packed with hockey. Tonight we have just one game, Jackets vs. Leafs, let’s win again!

Blue Jackets vs. Maple Leafs (7:30)

Tonight’s only game should be pretty fun, with both of these teams obviously in the second half of a back to back from the Frenzy last night, both coming off 4-3 wins last night. The Blue Jackets have been solid lately to improve to 5-4 on the year, with four wins in their last five games, coming off two overtime wins, winning 5-4 in a shootout in Pittsburgh on Saturday and following that up with a 4-3 overtime win in Buffalo last night on Miles Wood’s game winner. The Leafs have been quite inconsistent in their 5-4-1 start, coming into tonight off two wins in a row. Last night they beat the Flames 4-3, cashing my regulation line on Max Domi’s goal with 2:04 left in the game in a back and forth game that was pretty fun to watch. I think Toronto’s the better team here still, but with both teams in the second half of a back to back and the Leafs on the road, I don’t think they’re worth betting in what’s pretty much a pick’em tonight. I do like the over though, which I’ll take for a unit, expecting both teams to light the lamp.

Bets

1u Blue Jackets/Maple Leafs over 6.5 (-130)

Record: 57-50 (-10.66 units)
