NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 11/3/25

I got reverse swept yesterday on the NHL, going 0-4 to lose 3.48 units for my second brutal night in a row. Let’s try to bounce back on tonight’s four game slate before a ton of games tomorrow.

Note: Going back to mainly sticking with half unit bets, it’s still too early in the season.

Maple Leafs vs. Penguins (7:30)

This is a pretty fun Eastern Conference matchup with the way that these two teams have started their season. The Maple Leafs have been pretty inconsistent in their 6-5-1 start to the year. They’re playing better lately with three wins in their last four games, coming off a 5-2 win in Philly on Saturday (win for me as I got smoked on that slate). The Penguins started off the year great, shocking a lot of people. They’re 8-3-2, coming off a 5-2 loss in Winnipeg on Saturday to end an eight game point streak, but they now only have two wins in their last five games. I’d lean the Leafs win here at home despite Pittsburgh being way better defensively to start the year, but don’t think they’re worth betting at all at the -185 price. I do like the over though, expecting both teams to light the lamp and I’ll take it for half a unit.

Blues vs. Oilers (8:30)

Pretty lousy matchup in the West here. The Blues have been awful this year, on a seven game losing streak coming off a 3-2 loss in Columbus on Saturday to drop to 3-7-2 on the season. Statistically they’ve been terrible on both ends of the ice. The Oilers haven’t been great either with a 6-4-3 record to start the season. They’re coming off a 3-2 overtime win at home against the Blackhawks on Saturday (I split that, cashing Chicago +1.5, but losing on the +235 moneyline). They have played a bit better lately, on a four game point streak. Edmonton should win this one on the road, but they’re tough to trust on the way they’re playing lately. I’ll lay off it. I’d slightly lean the over, but not enough to bet that either with St. Louis struggling to score. I’ll stay off this game completely.

Predators vs. Canucks (8:30)

This Western Conference matchup sucks. I don’t think either of these teams are good. They’re both playing worse than average defensively and awful offensively. The Predators ended a three game losing streak on Saturday with a 4-2 win at home against the Flames. They’re just 5-6-2 on the season. The Canucks are barely any better with their 6-7 record, coming off a 5-2 loss in Minnesota on Saturday. Nashville won the first game between these teams 2-1 a couple weeks ago at home. I’d slightly lean Vancouver’s the better team, and I’d slightly lean the under, but I’m not touching this game.

Kraken vs. Blackhawks (10:00)

I wouldn’t say this late night Western Conference matchup is any good, but I could see it being a fun game. The Kraken are on a four game point streak after OT losses against the Rangers and Habs, and are now 5-2-4 on the season. Their offense has struggled, but they’ve been pretty solid defensively. The Blackhawks have impressed me despite just being 5-4-3 on the year, coming off two losses in a row, losing 3-2 in overtime to the Oilers on Saturday. I’d still lean Seattle’s the better team here and they should win at home, but don’t like it enough to bet on at -150. I’d also lean the under, but not enough to bet that either at 5.5 or buy up to 6 or 6.5, so I’ll lay off this game too.

Bets

.5u Maple Leafs/Penguins over 6.5 (-115)

Record: 73-66 (-15.26 units)
