NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 11/6/25

Minimal loss for me on last night’s NHL slate, going 2-2 to lose 0.34 units. Tonight we have a solid nine game slate, let’s win!

Sabres vs. Blues (7:00)

This isn’t a great cross conference game to get tonight’s slate started. My Sabres are on a seven game point streak, but they aren’t finding ways to win, with four losses in their last five games. They’re coming off a 2-1 overtime loss at home to Utah on Tuesday, in a game that I thought they were outplayed significantly with Alex Lyon keeping the game so low scoring despite a ton of scoring chances. I’m still not sold on this 5-4-4 team being any good. The Blues are in the second half of a back to back tonight, coming off a 6-1 blowout loss in our nation’s capital last night, and they’ve been one of the worst teams in the league with a 4-8-2 record on the season. I like the Sabres to win tonight, and I’ll take Buffalo for half a unit. I like the over as well, and I’ll take the alternate over 6 for half a unit too.

Bruins vs. Senators (7:00)

Interesting, but pretty lousy Atlantic Division game tonight. The Bruins are exceeding expectations, on a four game win streak to improve to 8-7 on the season, coming off a 4-3 shootout win on Long Island on Tuesday. The Senators are 6-5-2, coming off a 4-3 overtime loss in Montreal on Saturday, playing much better now than they were right after the Brady Tkachuk injury. Ottawa won the first game between these teams with a 7-2 blowout at home last week, and I’d lean they win again here tonight on the road, but don’t like it enough to bet on. I do like the over though, which I’ll take at 6 for half a unit, with two decent offenses and two horrible defenses.

Devils vs. Canadiens (7:00)

This should be a really fun game in the Eastern Conference tonight. The Devils started the season awesome, but they’ve struggled a bit as of late. With just one win in their last four games, coming off a 4-1 loss in Anaheim on Sunday, they’re now just 9-4 on the season. The Habs are coming off a 5-4 shootout loss on Tuesday night, ending a three game win streak, and have been electric to watch all season. Jersey’s the better team here and I’d lean they win it at home, but don’t like it enough to bet on. I do like the over though, which I’ll take at 6 for half a unit.

Hurricanes vs. Wild (7:00)

Pretty lousy cross conference game here as I think this is a pretty big mismatch. The Hurricanes are coming off an easy 3-0 shutout win on the road at MSG against the Rangers on Tuesday and they’re having a good season with an 8-4 record coming into tonight. The Wild have struggled this year on both ends of the ice, with just a 5-6-3 record, but come into tonight off two wins in a row, beating the Preds 3-2 in crazy fashion on a controversial overtime goal with the net off its moorings. I like the Canes to win here at home and I’ll lay the -192 on Carolina for half a unit. I’d lean the under, but not enough to bet it.

Penguins vs. Capitals (7:30)

I’d expect this to be a really fun rivalry matchup in the Metro. The Penguins are coming off two losses in a row, blowing a 3-0 third period lead to lose 4-3 to the Leafs on the road on Monday night, but they’ve far exceeded my expectations so far this year, with an 8-4-2 record. The Capitals have been inconsistent with a 7-5-1 record, and they’re in the second half of a back to back tonight. Last night they ended a four game losing streak with a 6-1 blowout win at home against the Blues with Alex Ovechkin, the greatest goal scorer of all time, adding to his record with the 900th goal of his career. This game’s a complete toss up to me. I’d slightly lean the Pens win at home with the Caps in the second half of a back to back, and I’d very slightly lean the over, but neither enough to bet on, so I’ll lay off this game entirely.

Predators vs. Flyers (8:00)

Such a boring cross conference matchup here since I don’t think either of these teams are good. The Predators are coming off two overtime losses in a row, losing 3-2 in Minnesota on Tuesday after Nashville’s goalie knocked the net off it’s moorings in overtime with the decision to award the game winner to the Wild off that scoring chance. Questionable call, but it did fit what the rule says. They’re just 5-6-4 on the season with only one win in their last six games. The Flyers have been good defensively, but struggling offensively. They’re coming off a 5-4 shootout win in Montreal on Tuesday to improve to 7-5-1 on the season. Philly won the first game between these teams 4-1 at home last Thursday and I’d lean they win again here at home, but not enough to bet them. I’d slightly lean the under, but don’t see value in betting that either, so I’ll just stay off this matchup completely.

Stars vs. Ducks (8:00)

This Western Conference game should be pretty fun. The Stars are a solid team with a 7-3-3 record, and are on a seven game point streak, coming off a 4-3 shootout win at home against the Oilers on Tuesday night. Their offense hasn’t gotten it going much, but their defense has been great. The Ducks have been playing the opposite, with great offense from their young stars, but not the best defense. Coming off a 7-3 blowout win at home against the Panthers on Tuesday, they’re on a four game win streak to improve to 8-3-1 on the season. Dallas is the better team here, and they should win, but the -175 price is too expensive for me. With the total at 6.5, I’d very slightly lean the under, but the right move on this game is just staying off it.

Golden Knights vs. Lightning (10:00)

I think this should be a great cross conference game tonight. The Golden Knights have been awesome this season. Coming off a 1-0 shutout win at home against the Red Wings on Tuesday, they’re 7-2-3 on the season, playing well on both ends of the ice. The Lightning had an awful start to the year, but turned it around recently, with a 3-2 loss in Colorado on Tuesday ending a five game win streak to come into tonight with a 6-5-2 record after their 1-4-2 start. In the first game between these teams in Tampa a week and a half ago, the Bolts got the 2-1 win in overtime at home. I’d lean Vegas answers back and wins at home and I’d lean the under in this game, but not enough to bet either. So I’ll lay off it, but I’ll definitely be tuning in.

Kings vs. Panthers (10:00)

Kind of a boring game to end tonight’s slate with two underperforming teams. The Kings are 6-4-4 on the year, coming off a 3-0 shutout win at home against the Jets on Tuesday. The Panthers, who are 6-6-1 on the year have struggled too, with a ton of injuries, getting blowing out 7-3 in Anaheim on Tuesday night. The side on this game is a total coin flip to me, and I don’t even really have a lead on it. I’d lean the under, but not enough to bet it.
