NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 11/30/25

Yesterday I went 8-8 in the NHL, losing 1.51 units. Let’s bounce back with today’s four game Sunday slate!

Islanders vs. Capitals (1:00)

This should be a pretty fun game to get today’s slate started. The Islanders are exceeding my expectations in their start to the season, with a 13-9-3 record, playing much better defensively than expected. Their offense still isn’t great though, and they come into tonight with just one win in their last four games, losing 4-3 in a shootout at home against the Flyers on Friday. The Capitals have been hot and turned around their season after a pretty big slump, improving to 14-9-2 on the year. They’re on a three game win streak coming off a 4-2 win at home against the Leafs on Friday with six wins in their last seven games. Washington’s played well on both ends of the ice all season. These teams split their first two games this year, each winning on the road with the Caps winning 4-2 on Long Island in the first week of the season and the Isles answering back with a 3-1 win in DC on Halloween. I like that road trend to continue here and I’ll take the Capitals for half a unit. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it.

Blackhawks vs. Ducks (3:30)

This should be a pretty fun matchup in the West between two young, improving teams that have both been pretty fun to watch this year. The Blackhawks exceeded a ton of expectations in their start to the season, playing well on both ends of the ice, but they’re in a slump right now, on a five game losing streak, coming off a 4-3 loss at home to the Predators on Friday to drop to 10-9-5 on the season. The Ducks are coming off a 5-4 shootout win at home against the Kings on Friday, improving to 15-8-1 on the season. Their young offense has been really impressive to start the year, but they have struggled defensively. The Blackhawks won the first game between these teams 2-1 in overtime at home. I like the Ducks answer back and win this game on the road here, and I’ll take them for half a unit. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it. I’ll also partly Leo Carlsson, Cutter Gauthier, Troy Terry, and Connor Bedard to each get a point for half a unit.

Hurricanes vs. Flames (5:00)

Although Calgary’s playing much better as of late, this is still a pretty huge cross conference mismatch. The Hurricanes are a fantastic team, playing great on both ends of the ice. They’re 15-7-2, bouncing back from two surprising losses with a 5-1 blowout win against the Jets on Friday night. The Flames looked to be one of the worst teams in the NHL this season, but they come into tonight hot, with four wins in their last five games after beating the Panthers 5-3 on the road on Friday. Statistically they’ve been below average defensively and have one of the worst offenses in the league. I like Carolina to win this game pretty easily and I’ll take them in regulation for a unit. I’d slightly lean the under, but not enough to bet it. I also considered point props for Seth Jarvis and Sebastian Aho, but even parlay’d together the prices aren’t worth betting.

Stars vs. Senators (6:00)

This should be a great cross conference game to end the night. Both of these teams are playing well this season. The Stars are on a three game win streak, coming off a 4-3 win at home against Utah on Friday night, with a 9-1-1 record in their last eleven games to improve to 16-5-4 on the season. Dallas is playing elite hockey on both ends of the ice. The Senators are coming off a surprising 4-3 loss in St. Louis on Friday, dropping to 12-8-4 on the season. They got a key piece back that game though with Brady Tkachuk back in the lineup. The Sens have struggled defensively, but they’ve been quite good offensively this year. The first game between these teams in Ottawa this year went to overtime with the Stars winning 3-2 on the road. I like Dallas to win again here at home and I’ll take them for half a unit. I’d lean the over, but not quite enough to bet it. I like a few point props here too. I’ll parlay Jason Robertson and Mikko Rantanen to get a point each for half a unit, and I’ll also take Brady Tkachuk to get a point for half a unit.
