Sabres @ Kraken: 12/14/25 – Game Reactions/Recap

Tonight the Sabres grinded out a nice 3-1 win on the road in Seattle for our third win in a row to cap off this road trip out west with a really good effort from start to finish.

The Sabres got on the board fist tonight on a beauty of a goal with Noah Ostlund cashing in on a two on one with Josh Norris on a perfect give and go with 2:51 left in the first. What a goal. Pretty solid first period for Buffalo, outshooting the Kraken 9-3 and playing quite well on both ends of the ice.

Tage Thompson made it 2-0 with 9:52 left in the second period, with a nice steal of the puck in the Seattle zone from Alex Tuch, getting the puck to Payton Krebs, setting up an easy 2-0 with Tuch and Thompson right in front. With 7:36 left in the second, the Kraken got back within one on the power play with a beautifully placed shot by Chandler Stephenson that when off the post and in on a tiny little hole between the post and Lyon. Another solid period for the Sabres.

The Sabres held on for the third period, and Zach Benson capped off the game with an empty netter with 45.3 seconds to go to make it 3-1.

Final: Sabres 3, Kraken 1

Great effort and win for Buffalo tonight. It was fun to watch again. They’ve impressed me defensively these last few games. Solid win.
