Tonight the Sabres came out of the Christmas break with another great game, beating the Bruins 4-1 to extend the win streak to eight in a row!
David Pastrnak opened the scoring making it 1-0 Bruins 11:56 into the game, jumping on a rebound right in front and easily beat UPL on a quick shot. The Sabres had some decent chances in a relatively even period, with that bad turnover really being the only difference in this game.
Ryan McLeod tied up the game 1:39 into the second on a beautiful shot in the left circle. Just 1:33 later, Payton Krebs gave the Sabres the lead, redirecting a Tage Thompson shot past Korposalo to put Buffalo up 2-1, rocking the arena and cashing my point parlay. 7:54 into the second, the Sabres made it 3-1 on a clean shot by Matias Samuelsson from the top of the circle. Nice, clean rip. Great second period on both ends of the ice for the Sabres there.
To an end a really good defensive third period for the Sabres, Josh Norris capped off the game with an empty netter to win it 4-1.
Final: Sabres 4, Bruins 1
EIGHT in a row! Another really good win for the Sabres tonight, who played really well on both ends of the ice. Still undefeated in the Jarmo era and this team might just be a wagon. They’ve been electric.
Let’s Go Buffalo!
