NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 3/15/26

Yesterday was horrendous for me on the NHL, continuing my losing run with a 6-15 day to lose 9.7 units. Terrible. Only one way to bounce back, get back on the horse and crush today’s six game slate!

Jets vs. Blues (3:00)

Both of these teams have had pretty pathetic seasons, yet they’re both just six points behind the Sharks for the second Wild Card spot in the West. They’ve both played pretty well since the break though, so this should actually be a pretty decent matinee. The Jets are in the second half of a back to back today, coming off a shocker of a win, beating the Avalanche 3-1 at home yesterday (big loser for me even though I hit a +200 five leg parlay on it) and have gone 5-2-2 since the Olympics break to improve to 27-28-10. The Blues have been hot, going 6-0-1 in their last seven games to improve to 27-29-10, beating the Oilers 3-2 in overtime at home on Friday night. These teams split their first two games, with the Blues winning in a 1-0 shutout at home in December, and the Jets answering back at home with a 3-1 win in January. With Winnipeg in the second half of a back to back, I’d slightly lean the Blues win here on the road, but not enough to bet them. I do like the under though, not expecting much action in this one, which I’ll take at the alternate line of 6 for half a unit. I’ll also go back to ole’ reliable for the Jets and I’ll parlay Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele to each get a point for half a unit.

Senators vs. Sharks (5:00)

This cross conference game should be a lot of fun. The Senators started the day off yesterday, winning 2-0 at home with a shutout against the Ducks. They’ve been hot with a 10-2-2 record in their last 14 games to improve to 33-23-9 on the season, just five points back from the Bruins and Red Wings for the Wild Card spots in the East. The Sharks are in the second Wild Card spot in the West since the Pacific is so weak this year, a point ahead of the Kraken and Kings with a 32-26-6 record. They’re coming off two wins in a row, in the second half of a back to back, beating the Habs 4-2 on the road last night. In the first game between these teams in San Jose back in November, the Sens won 3-2 on the road. I like the Sens to win again at home and I’ll take them in regulation for half a unit. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it. I’ll also parlay Tim Stutzle, Brady Tkachuk, and Macklin Celebrini to each get a point for half a unit.

Canadiens vs. Ducks (7:00)

Solid cross conference game here with both of these playoff teams coming off of losses yesterday. The Habs are in third place in the Atlantic Division with a 39-19-10 record, two points back from the Lightning for home ice in the first round and two points ahead of the Bruins and Red Wings. They’re coming off a 4-2 loss at home to the Sharks last night, ending a three game win streak. The Ducks fell to second in the Pacific yesterday with their 2-0 shutout loss in Ottawa and Vegas winning, a point back from the Golden Knights with a 36-27-3 record, and two points ahead of the Oilers. These teams just played about a week ago, with Montreal coming back from a 4-2 third period deficit and the Ducks tying it late to go to a shootout and win 6-5 at home. I’d lean the Canadiens win here at home, but not quite enough to be them. I do like the over though, which I’ll take for a unit with both teams playing well offensively, but struggling on the back end. I’ll also parlay Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, and Cutter Gauthier to each get a point for half a unit.

Wild vs. Maple Leafs (7:30)

Pretty big mismatch in this cross conference game with both of these teams coming off losses yesterday. The Wild have been fantastic this season, comfortably in third place in the Central Division with a 38-17-12 record, but they’ve struggled a bit lately, with just one win in their last four games, coming off a shocking 4-2 loss at home to the Rangers last night. Minnesota’s been very good on both ends of the ice though this year. The Leafs are a pathetic joke this year, in last place in the Atlantic Division with a 28-27-12 record. They have just one win in their last ten games, coming off a 3-2 shootout loss to my Sabres in Buffalo last night. Blow Leafs Blow. The Wild won the first game between these teams 6-3 in Toronto in January and I expect an even easier win for them tonight to bounce back from these last two losses. I’ll take them in regulation for a unit. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it. I’ll also parlay Kirill Kaprizov, Matt Boldy, Quinn Hughes, and William Nylander to each get a point for half a unit.

Oilers vs. Predators (8:00)

Not a great matchup in the West. The Oilers are in third place in the weak Pacific Division with a 32-26-9 record, coming off a two losses in a row after a 3-2 overtime loss in St. Louis on Friday night. They’ve been fine offensively, but have struggled big time on the back end. The Predators are even worse, at 29-27-9, but aren’t quite out of it yet, just three points back from the Sharks for the second Wild Card spot in the West, but they’ve struggled on both ends of the ice, coming off an embarrassing 4-3 shootout loss in Vancouver on Thursday. These teams split their first two games in January, with the Oilers winning 6-2 at home and Smashville answering with a 4-3 overtime win at home a week later. I like Edmonton to win at home tonight and I’ll take them for half a unit, parlayed with Connor McDavid to get a point. I’d lean the over, but not enough to bet it. I like a few more player props here too. I’ll parlay McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Ryan O’Reilly to each get a point for half a unit, and I’ll take Connor to get over 1.5 points for another half a unit.

Kraken vs. Panthers (8:00)

Snoozefest of a cross conference game to end the night. The Kraken are struggling right now, falling a point back from the Sharks for the second Wild Card spot in the West, with a 30-26-9 record, ending a four game slump with a 5-2 win in Vancouver last night (easy win for me to end the night). The Panthers run is over as Cup Champs, as they’re going to miss the playoffs, with a 33-29-3 record right now, struggling with way too many injuries all season. They’re on a three game win streak though, coming off a 2-1 overtime win at home against the Blue Jackets on Thursday. The side on this game’s a complete toss up to me. I’d slightly lean the over, but not enough to bet it. The only guy I considered betting a player prop on is Matthew Tkachuk but there isn’t anyone worth parlaying him with and you can’t bet him straight up, so I’ll lay off this game entirely.
