I’ve had a good amount of stouts in the past that were based on peanut butter and jelly and for the most part I’ve liked all of them. But I’ve never had a PB&J based sour. It’s been a little while since I’ve done any sours for a Brew Review (after I went on a pretty long run of reviewing them every day), so today I went with a local one from Buffalo that I’ve been seeing a bunch of people I know having variations of. Hopefully all the “zonies” enjoyed yesterday’s Brew Review of Bud Light, but today we’re back to normal with the nice beers. Not the beers that I have a 30 rack of sitting in my fridge that I could crush like water. Tonight’s Brew Review is a sour that was made by Other Half in collaboration with Magnify, Magna Cotta Cult. I had pretty high expectations for this berliner. Made with blueberries, coconut, kaffir lime leaf, tahitian vanilla, yogurt and milk sugar, I thought that mix would make a good beer in the 6.5%.
