After cashing a profit 4 of the last 5 days before yesterday, we were due for a brutal night and lost every bet on last night’s slate. That’s the variability and parity in hockey, any team could win on any night and you’ve gotta deal with the swings of going up and down. Looking at every bet though, I don’t regret making any of them. They just didn’t work out. Still blows though to take the biggest losing day of the season. Back at it again tonight to hopefully win some back on this 5 game slate.

Flyers vs. Bruins (7:00)

Both of these teams are good teams that will likely see each other in the playoffs. On their three games this season, the Bruins have won all of them. In Wednesday’s game, we hit the over on a four goal 3rd period as the B’s came from behind to beat the Flyers in OT with Pasta’s hat trick getting them there. I think this game could go either way although I’d lean the Bruins with Brian Elliot confirmed in net for the Flyers. I like the over for half a unit.

Lightning vs. Red Wings (7:00)

Tampa’s one of the best teams in hockey and is at a whole other level than the Red Wings. They should again easily win this game just like they did on Wednesday when they won 5-1. No team should ever be -380 though. As long as Vasilevskiy is confirmed in goal, I’ll take Tampa in regulation for half a unit and regardless of starting goalies, I’ll take Tampa’s team total over 3.5 for half a unit as well.

Panthers vs. Predators (7:00)

Last night, the Preds scored two goals in the 3rd period to send the close game between these teams to overtime where Nashville won 6-5. I like tonight’s game to go over again so I’ll take the over for half a unit. 

Golden Knights vs. Kings (10:00)

Teams this year have been good coming off of COVID postponements. Before they were hit with these issues, Vegas was on a roll and looked like the best team out of the West. LA on the other hand kind of sucks. I’m taking Vegas in regulation for a unit tonight. 

Ducks vs. Sharks (10:00)

Both of these Cali teams aren’t good. I don’t really bet on bad teams facing bad teams and like the line of this game shows at -110 both ways, it could easily go either way. I’m laying off this game.
