NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 2/19/21

Last night’s slate wasn’t bad, going 3-3 on the night to win 1.12 units. Got a big win betting against my shitty Sabres on the Caps and couldn’t be too pissed that both the games I had losses on, the Flyers (who had guys out on the covid protocol that I didn’t notice prior to betting it) and Arizona both lost in the shootout. Tonight’s only got four games that I’m breaking down.

Hurricanes vs. Blackhawks (7:00)

In their two games between these teams this year, they split with Carolina winning 4-3 in a shootout and then the Blackhawks won 6-4. I’d expect Carolina wins tonight’s game and that it goes over but I don’t like either enough to bet on them. So I’m skipping this game.

Red Wings vs. Panthers (7:00)

In their four matchups so far this season against the Red Wings, Florida’s won three of those games, all by a one goal margin (3-2, 3-2, 2-1) and lost once 4-1. Tonight I think Florida wins and the game likely stays under, so I’m taking the Panthers here for a unit.

Flames vs. Oilers (9:00)

Anything can happen in the Battle of Alberta since these teams match up well and hate each other. In their first game this season, Calgary won 6-4 in a super entertaining game. In the last four games between these teams, all of them have gone over. I’m going to go back to the over here for a unit. These teams are gonna be flying all over the ice and I think that leads to a lot of goal scoring opportunities.

Canucks vs. Jets (10:00)

This year these teams have only played once, with the Canucks winning 4-1. Historically though, games between these two teams significantly trend under. In the last 15 games between these two teams going back to the 2015 season, under 6 is 12-2-1. I’ll take the under here for a unit.

1u Panthers ML (-175)

1u Calgary/Edmonton over 6.5 (+100)

1u Jets/Canucks under 6 (+100)

Record: 84-74 (-15.39 units)
