The winners came pretty easy going 2-0 last night on Vegas and Colorado for my second winning day in a row. Let’s make it three tonight on a pretty big slate!
Islanders vs. Sabres (7:00)
The Islanders pretty much own the shitty Sabres this year. The Isles are 3-0 against Buffalo and Buffalo is on a four game losing streak with only two wins in their last ten games. Since December 2016, the Islanders are 10-2 against the Sabres and I expect that to continue tonight. I’d also lean the under here but at 5, I’m not betting it. Going with 1.5 units on the Islanders ML.
Hurricanes vs. Red Wings (7:00)
Carolina’s the way better team here. These teams haven’t played since the first week of the season where they split games with Carolina winning 3-0 and Detroit winning 4-2. The price on this game is way too expensive at -310, so I’m going with half a unit on Carolina in regulation.
Penguins vs. Flyers (7:00)
On Tuesday, the Penguins didn’t need Sid to beat the Flyers 5-2, despite being outshot in the game 42-27. I think the Flyers bounce back tonight’s game stays closer and likely goes over. Not betting it though.
Canadiens vs. Jets (7:00)
Jake Allen, who’s surprisingly the better goalie for the Habs this season is back in goal tonight against a pretty good Winnipeg Jets team. Montreal finally got their first win in six games against the Sens a couple days ago. I’m not betting this game at all. I’d slightly lean the Jets on the road since the Habs are struggling and haven’t been good at home this season.
Devils vs. Rangers (7:00)
Neither of these teams are very good. I’d slightly lean the Devils at home here with limited fans in the building now, but not enough to want to bet it.
Blackhawks vs. Lightning (8:00)
Tampa’s sitting at the top of the NHL. Although the Blackhawks have already over exceeded expectations for themselves this season and could keep up with teams, I don’t anticipate them beating the defending Cup champs tonight. The only time these teams played this season were in the first two games of the year, with Tampa winning 5-1 and 5-2. I think Chicago’s improved since then and should make it closer, but Tampa wins here. Tampa’s been red hot lately too with Vasilevskiy coming off three shutouts in a row. I’m on the Bolts here for a half unit each on the moneyline and puck line.
Predators vs. Panthers (8:00)
Florida’s been a very good team this season. They’re currently coming off back to back one goal losses to a good Carolina team. I think this is a good spot for the Panthers to bounce back with a win against a lousy Nashville team that I could see firing John Hynes in the near future. In two games earlier this season, the Preds won 6-5 and Florida answered back with a 2-1 win. I’ll take Florida here for half a unit.
Stars vs. Blue Jackets (8:30)
Dallas has not been the same team that they were last year. Columbus has just not been that good. I’d lean Dallas here cause they have more talent but wouldn’t bet this game.
Flames vs. Senators (9:00)
In their three recent games, all recently, the Sens beat the Flames twice. I like the over here and would lean Calgary at home to even up the season series. I wouldn’t bet this game and there’s some value in Ottawa and Ottawa +1.5 tonight, but I’m not personally touching it. If Ottawa gets to an early lead I might live bet this one.
Canucks vs. Maple Leafs (10:00)
The Leafs are on a fucking tear lately with four straight wins including two shutout wins and a 6-1 win over the Oilers. The Canucks have been struggling all season and only have one win in six games. In three games against the Canucks this year, the Leafs are 3-0 with pretty easy wins. Going with Toronto for a unit on the ML and half a unit on the puck line tonight.
