NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 3/10/21

I picked all four games I bet correctly last night yet still had a shit night as I had the Flyers (hard) and Tampa in regulation only and it took them both until overtime to win. Today’s small NHL slate kinda sucks but I’m breaking down every game.

Wild vs. Golden Knights (7:00)

After Vegas won their two games at home against the Wild, Minnesota answered back in Minnesota on Monday night as Kaapo Kahkonen got his first shutout in a 2-0 win against the Knights. Vegas was without Mark Stone and Alex Pietrangelo in that game, who were both late scratches. I’m back on Vegas tonight to bounce back since I think they’re the better team here for half a unit.

Oilers vs. Senators (8:00)

Including their game on Monday night, Edmonton is now 4-0 against Ottawa this season. Ottawa has kept it pretty close in the two most recent of those games. I think Edmonton wins this one but I don’t want to lay the -240 moneyline and have been getting disappointed betting regulation lines lately. I think there’s decent value to Ottawa +1.5 here too but I’m not betting the game.

Avalanche vs. Coyotes (9:00)

Colorado should win this game. But they’re still without McKinnon as the injury bug’s gotten them and they just lost their last two games by a goal to Arizona and Anaheim. I’m skipping this game just with how inconsistent Colorado has been lately.

Ducks vs. Kings (9:30)

The Kings have come back down to Earth and are playing as they were expected to this year. Both of these teams aren’t good. In a competitive game in Anaheim on Monday night, these teams matched up well and it took till overtime for the Ducks to win 6-5. I’d lean the over again, but I don’t like betting matchups between teams that both suck.

Canucks vs. Canadiens (11:00)

Both of these teams have been pretty tough to gauge all season. The games between these teams have been all over the place this season and they both have 2 wins in the four matchups. Most recently on Monday night, I lost on Montreal as Carey Price played pretty well but Montreal gave up the tying 1-1 goal with only 40 seconds to go in the third period and Vancouver won in a shootout. Before that game, the Canucks were 0-13 this season when they allowed the first goal of the game. Skipping this game too. Light night.

Picks

.5u Vegas ML (-115)

Record: 117-115 (-32.28 units)
