On the first night that I could’ve gotten back in the positives for the year, I had a real shit night on the NHL to ruin my win streak. Back at it tonight to win that back.
Sabres vs. Flyers (7:30)
The Sabres found a fun new way to lose on Monday night to tie the NHL record for most straight losses at 18. Buffalo lead 3-0 going into the third period before they gave up that lead as the Flyers forced overtime. Then of course, the Flyers won it in OT. Going right back at it tonight with 2 units on the Flyers.
Jets vs. Maple Leafs (7:30)
On Monday night, the Leaf lost a good game 3-2 to the Oilers while the Jets cruised to a 5-1 win over the Flames. These teams have played close this year and are 2-2 in their four matchups. I think the Jets win this one to overtake the Leafs for first place in the North, but I’m not betting on them. I’d also lean the over.
Avalanche vs. Coyotes (9:30)
I’m looking at Avs futures to win the Cup. They’re a force to be reckoned with when they’re completely healthy. I’m going back to Colorado in regulation tonight for 1.5 units.
Golden Knights vs. Kings (10:00)
The Knights are my pick to win the Cup. On Monday night, the Kings scored the first goal of the game a minute after puck drop and that was the only goal they got past Lehner, as Vegas cruised to an easy 4-1 win. 2 units on Vegas.
Canucks vs. Flames (10:00)
Neither of these teams have been very good this year. In six games this year, the Calgary is 4-2 against Vancouver. I guess I’d take the Flames here but this game’s a shitty coin flip. Skipping it entirely.
Sharks vs. Wild (10:30)
I had the Wild in their last game on Monday night against the Sharks, which ruined my perfect 6-0 night as the Sharks won in the eighth round of a shootout. Minnesota had a ton of chances to win but just couldn’t get the puck in the back of the net. I think the Wild bounce back tonight, so I’m going with them again for 1.5 units.
