NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 4/3/21

Had a bad beat on the Avs/Blues over last night to lose a little less than a unit going 1-2. Oh well, lot better than the past week. Back at it with a huge slate of NHL games today.

Bruins vs. Penguins (1:00)

These teams have played pretty close this season and the Bruins are 3-2 against the Pens. I would slightly lean in Pittsburgh’s direction today to tie up the season series but since all five games they’ve played this season has gone under, I’m going to ride that for half a unit.

Lightning vs. Red Wings (1:00)

This is the most lopsided matchup on the board today, Tampa’s the way better team here and they’re 19-2 in their last 21 games against Detroit and are 3-1 this season against them. In their last game on 3/11, the Red Wings got a big upset win as they beat the Bolts 6-4. I think Tampa answers back with a big win tonight and I’ll take them for a half unit in regulation.

Predators vs. Blackhawks (3:00)

On Thursday night, the Preds impressive six game winning streak came to an end at the hands of the Dallas Stars, as the Preds lost 4-1. Nashville’s 4-0 against Chicago this season, but I would slightly lean the Blackhawks make that 4-1 today. Not betting this game at all.

Sabres vs. Rangers (7:00)

My Sabres fucked me so bad on Thursday night as I had the Rangers in regulation and the Sabres scored with four seconds left in the game to force overtime, before the Rangers went on to win. NY is 4-1 against the Sabres this year, and I don’t expect that to change today. Half a unit on the Rangers.

Islanders vs. Flyers (7:00)

The Flyers are a broken team and their last game they let Buffalo end an 18 game losing streak with a 6-1 win over them on Wednesday night. The Islanders are the much better team here and I think they tie up the season series tonight. I’ll take the Isles for half a unit.

Hurricanes vs. Stars (7:00)

Carolina’s the way better team here and they have double the amount of wins this season than Dallas does. This season, despite three of these games between these teams being close (two decided in a shootout), Carolina’s 4-0 against the Stars this year. Half a unit on the Canes.

Panthers vs. Blue Jackets (7:00)

Florida’s coming into this game with four straight wins and they’re 3-1 against the Jackets this year. I’ll take Florida for half a unit.

Canadiens vs. Senators (7:00)

Even though Montreal is the better team here this season, their season series with Ottawa is tied through six games. Ottawa blows but they aren’t a team worth betting against. I’ll skip this game. I’d lean the over too, although only one game between them this year has hit the over.

Avalanche vs. Blues (9:00)

The Blues stink and the Avs are probably going to win the Cup. Even with Jonas Johansson starting in goal for Colorado last night, the Blues could only muster up two goals and lost 3-2. With Grubauer in goal, tonight should be easier for the Avs. Half a unit on Colorado.

Golden Knights vs. Wild (9:00)

I think Vegas is the better team than the overachieving Wild this season, but Minnesota’s 3-2 against the Knights this year including a 3-2 shootout win on Thursday night. I think my boys in Vegas answer back with a win here but I’m not going to bet on it.

Kings vs. Sharks (10:00)

Who cares? No one wants to watch this game. The Sharks are 4-1 against LA this year in this in state matchup, including a 3-0 win last night. I guess I’d lean the Sharks here again but wouldn’t bet on it.
