NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 4/4/21

Happy Easter! I had a winning record yesterday going 4-3. Hopefully I build on that today on a six game Sunday NHL slate.

Lightning vs. Red Wings (12:00)

Yesterday Tampa got a regulation win against Detroit in a boring 2-1 game. Tampa’s the way better team here and should win pretty easily but with how close the Red Wings played them yesterday, I’m not going to bet the -380 line on the Bolts or even the -250 in regulation. I’ll just skip this game.

Devils vs. Capitals (3:00)

Today’s game is the last matchup between these teams this season. The Caps have crushed the Devils this year and are an impressive 7-0 against NJ. Even with how shitty Jersey is this season, its hard to beat a team 7 straight times in a season. The Devils have played them close in a handful of those games including in a 2-1 Caps overtime win on Friday night. I’ll take the Caps today for half a unit.

Panthers vs. Blue Jackets (5:00)

The Panthers are tied with Tampa for first place in the Central and are coming into this game with five straight wins. This season Florida is 4-1 against a struggling Blue Jackets team and last night beat them easily 5-2. I’ll take Florida for half a unit.

Hurricanes vs. Stars (7:00)

Last night Dallas got their first win in five games against Carolina this season 3-2. I think the Canes answer back with a win today. I’ll take Carolina for half a unit tonight.

Flames vs. Maple Leafs (9:00)

The Leafs this season are 4-2 against Calgary but I don’t really trust either of these teams. In fact, I think the entire North Division stinks. Toronto should win this one but I’m skipping it.

Ducks vs. Coyotes (9:00)

Arizona leads the season series against the second worst team in hockey, the Ducks 5-2. The Yotes should win this game but I’m not betting this one.
