Last night was great, going 4-0, winning 3.05 units. Let’s build on that with a seven game NHL slate tonight.
Sabres vs. Capitals (7:00)
The Sabres have been playing pretty decent lately, but none of their opponents recently have been nearly as good as the Capitals. The Caps are 5-1 against Buffalo this season and with Dustin Tokarski confirmed in goal for the Sabres, I don’t see Ovi and his boys having a problem getting the puck in the back of the net. I’ll take the Caps in regulation for a unit since I think the ML is too expensive but also take a 2 unit parlay with the ML along with Vegas ML and Colorado ML. If the Caps start off the game without scoring quickly I like the TT over 2.5, but wouldn’t take the 3.5 pregame.
Devils vs. Penguins (7:00)
I think the Penguins are the much better team than the Devils here, but the Devils are 2-1 against Pittsburgh this year. All three games between these teams this season were low scoring and close. I’ll take a half unit each on the Pens and the under.
Islanders vs. Rangers (7:00)
In the three games these NY rivals have played, its been all shutouts with 4-0 and 2-0 wins for the Isles and a 5-0 win for the Rangers. I’d lean the Islanders to win in this one, but not going to bet on this one.
Blues vs. Wild (8:00)
The Blues finally got a win on Wednesday night, as Jordan Binnington showed that he’s still the same guy that shocked everyone to lead the Blues to the Stanley Cup two seasons ago with FIFTY saves against the Vegas Golden Knights in a 3-1 win. The Wild put on an incredible show of their own on Wednesday night and showed that they could compete with the Avs in a high scoring 8-3 win over the Cup favorites. I’d lean that Minnesota gets the win in this one since I don’t expect Bin Nasty to put on the same performance that he had Wednesday night in goal but I’m not betting this game. If anything I’d lean the over.
Golden Knights vs. Coyotes (10:00)
The Knights should have beat the Blues on Wednesday night. When a team gets 51 shots in a game, you’d expect more than one of them to end up in the back of the net. Against a Coyotes team that isn’t great, I think this is the perfect spot for my Knights to bounce back with a win. I’ll take Vegas in regulation for 2 units along with the ML parlay with Washington and Colorado.
Ducks vs. Avalanche (10:00)
The Avs took a surprising loss on Wednesday night getting blown out 8-3 by the Wild. As long as Grubauer starts, I love Colorado tonight to bounce back from that loss and crush the Ducks, one of the worst teams in all of hockey. I’ll take the Avs in regulation for 2 units along with the ML parlay with Washington and Vegas.
Sharks vs. Kings (10:30)
SJ is the best team in California, which isn’t saying much as the Sharks, Kings and Ducks are all sitting at the bottom of the West Standings and aren’t gonna make the playoffs. The Sharks are 5-1 this season against LA. Have to take a small half unit stab on them to continue that but I don’t really trust them much.
