Yesterday was one of those days where almost every game goes the way it wasn’t supposed to. But I trust my research on all those picks yesterday and would make them again. That’s just the variability of hockey. Back at it today, pretty much even for the past week.
Flyers vs. Sabres (2:00)
Both of these teams are pretty much done for the season. They both suck. The Flyers are the better, more talented team and they’re 5-2 against the Sabres this season. Notably, the last time these teams played, the Sabres broke their 18 game losing streak with a 6-1 win over Philly. I think the Flyers should answer back with a win here today, but at -240, I’m not betting this game. I’d also lean the over which is 4-3 when these teams have played this season.
Golden Knights vs. Coyotes (4:00)
After losing 3-1 with 51 shots on goal to the Blues earlier this week, the Knights came out angry playing against Arizona on Friday and won 7-4, giving them their fourth win in five games against Arizona this season. The ML is expensive here so I will do a 2.52 unit parlay (to win 2 units) on Vegas parlayed with Colorado, along with 2 units on Vegas in regulation.
Ducks vs. Avalanche (6:00)
Colorado’s playing the best hockey in the NHL right now and they keep crushing teams. Today the face the worst team in the West again and I think they’ll have no problem being the Ducks. In addition to the parlay with Vegas, I’ll take Colorado in regulation for 2 units.
Devils vs. Penguins (7:00)
The Penguins are the much better team in this matchup and should win. But in the four games they’ve played against each other, these teams are 2-2. I’ll take Pittsburgh in regulation for a unit. If they lose, that saves me juice. I’d lean the under here too but not enough to bet on it.
Islanders vs. Rangers (7:00)
These NYS rivals have had some interesting games this season and are 2-2 against each other. I think the Isles are the much better team here and should answer back to the Rangers 4-1 win on Friday night. I’m skipping this one on the betting end.
Bruins vs. Capitals (7:00)
I think these teams are pretty much set for the playoffs. These teams have matched up really well this season and the Bruins are 3-2 against Washington. I think the Caps are the better team here and would lean they win, but not enough to bet it.
Predators vs. Stars (8:00)
The Preds the last month have looked like a whole different team. Dallas still sucks, the biggest disappointing team from expectations this year. This season, these teams are 3-3 against each other. With Nashville coming off a 3-0 loss to Tampa last night, I’d lean the Preds win this one. Not betting it though.
