NHL Daily Gambling Preview – 4/19/21

Another positive day yesterday, going 5-2 to win 1.7 units as the Sabres beating the Penguins kept me from a monster undefeated day. Even hit a +300 prop on the Isles and Flyers going to overtime. Eight game NHL slate tonight.

Lightning vs. Hurricanes (7:00)

These two teams, along with Florida are battling it out for first place in the tight Central Division. The season series between Tampa and Florida is tied 3-3. I think this game’s a toss up. Not betting it.

Panthers vs. Blue Jackets (7:00)

Florida’s sitting at the top of the Central Division and has crushed Columbus this year winning five of their six games against the Jackets. Columbus has been awful in general recently with only two wins in their last 14 games. I’ll take Florida ML for 2 units here.

Stars vs. Red Wings (7:30)

Both of these teams suck. Dallas has more talent and they’re 3-1 against Detroit this year. That being said though, the line on this game should not be as expensive for the Stars as -250. I’d lean Dallas wins this one, but I’m not laying that price on this matchup. Skipping this game.

Predators vs. Blackhawks (8:00)

Despite having three losses in their last five games (two to Carolina and one to Tampa), Nashville’s still one of the hottest teams in hockey this past month with 13 wins in their last 18 games. Chicago’s only two points behind them for the final playoff spot in the Central so this is a big game. The Preds are 5-0 against the Hawks so far this year. I’ll take Nashville for a unit.

Flames vs. Senators (9:00)

Both of these teams have no shot at the playoffs anymore. Ottawa’s been a thorn in Calgary’s side this year and they’re 5-2 against the Flames. I think Calgary should win this game and initially liked the puck line price on Ottawa here, but the two Flames wins against the Sens this season came by four and three goal margins. At +175, I think Ottawa’s worth a half unit stab. The whole North Division blows.

Oilers vs. Canadiens (9:00)

Montreal’s been pretty good against the Oilers this season, going 4-1 with the most recent win coming April 5th in overtime. I think the Oilers are the better team this season but Montreal seems to have them figured out. If the line was better, I’d probably lean the Habs in this one but at a close -130/+110 line, I’ll just skip this one. I’d lean the under too.

Coyotes vs. Wild (9:00)

Besides a 5-2 Yotes win on March 6th, the Wild have had no problem beating an inferior Arizona team in the other five games they’ve played this season and they’ve won by at least 3 goals in all five of those games. I’ll take the Wild ML here for a unit on the ML and Wild team total over 2.5, a half unit each on the puck line and a half unit on the alternate -2.5 puck line.

Golden Knights vs. Sharks (10:00)

This has been a great rivalry thats come up over the last few years and these teams hate each other. This season though it hasn’t been much of a battle. Vegas is the way better team and they’re 5-0 against SJ this season. Vegas is on fire with six straight wins and seven wins in their last eight games. The Sharks on the other hand, are 1-6 in their last seven games. I’ll take Vegas ML and Vegas in regulation for a unit each.
