Last night went pretty well for me winning four units. In the fourth straight game of the series to go to overtime, Carolina won in OT to hit my bet for them to win their series in six games or less and hit the over. And Montreal forced Game 6 in overtime (fans will be in the building tomorrow) after they blew a 3-1 lead to the Leafs. Game 7 tonight for Vegas and Minny!
Game 7: Golden Knights vs. Wild (9:00)
Game Seven. The two best words in sports. This series tonight all comes down to one game. Can’t beat that. I said before this series started that the Wild scared me rooting for the Knights. So it doesn’t surprise me that this series is going seven although Vegas did have a 3-1 lead in the series where it looked like it was going to be over quickly. The way Vegas lost Game 6 on Wednesday night sucked though. In a double shut out going to the third period, Minnesota scored 4:21 into the period to make it 1-0 Wild. Shortly after, Vegas tied the game making it 1-1. After calling it a goal, the refs changed the call on the ice to no goal for goaltender interference. It CLEARLY was not goaltender interference, Talbot was pushing Alex Tuch with his glove initiating contact and then the Minnesota defenseman (can’t remember who) like sandwiched Tuch there so he couldn’t really move and wasn’t the cause of the screen. So Vegas obviously challenged it. That challenge was unsuccessful cause Toronto would rather see Game 7 happen and because of the unsuccessful challenge gives the Wild a PP, they score on that to make it 2-0. Direct cause and effect there. Then since Vegas was down 2 at that point, they played the puck more aggressively with the defense jumping up into the play which lead to an odd man rush the other way, 3-0 to cap it off. If its a 1-1 game who knows what happens after that. I think Vegas answers back on home ice tonight in a do or die game for both teams and gets the win to move onto the West Finals against Colorado who’s awaiting the winner of tonight’s game. I’ll take the Golden Knights ML for a unit and the puck line for half a unit since I think Vegas has a lead late in the game and caps it off with an empty netter. Let’s Go Knights!!!
